4 am. Micha was awakened by screams. Of course from Ivory, she was having a nightmare.
when they were little, Ivory used to come around a lot for sleepovers and whenever she was upset about something or thought too much about something she ends up having a nightmare, her parents got her a therapist to find out if there's some kind of memory buried that triggers such a situation very often.
"Ivory it's just a dream, it's not real. calm down. I'm here, I'm here, I'm here"
"No it wasn't a dream it was a nightmare, a nightmare I have been reliving almost every night of my life, and it feels so real. I don't want to have that nightmare again Micha, I just don't wanna"
"Okay, calm down. what do you mean by all the nights of your life. Have you been having the same dream from when we were small. Why don't you ever want to tell me what the dream is about". Micha spoke with great concern.
"Let's just go back to sleep. I don't wanna talk about that nightmare, ermmm.... it's just a dream-like you said. Please let's just go back to sleep".
"Okay if you say so" after those words Micha fixed the blanket over Ivory properly and closed her eyes.
Ping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ping!!!!!!!!!! Ping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Why is your alarm still so loud, can a lady get a peaceful morning around here, sigh.
"Good morning," Micha said as a reply and gave a very short smile, one that could almost not be noticed.
"My headaches, sigh"
"I knew it would, there's a pain killer and a glass of water, Take it. Am going downstairs, be back soon, yeah" Ivory nodded, stretched out and took the pain killer in the blink of an eye.
"Nanny Nancy good morning, have you seen my dad this morning".
"Ermmm, he's gone out. He took some bags so I figure he's travelling somewhere. He didn't tell you anything about that????"
"No, nanny. Since when have dad told us what he does".
Nanny Nancy noticed something off about the girl. She had taken care of her whole life since she was a baby, so she knew if something felt off with her.
"Mii, what's wrong and don't you dare say nothing".
"Nanny, a lot is wrong but I'll tell you later. I'm a bit overwhelmed with all of it right now".
"Okay, call your dad and ask when he'll be back, sit down I'll make you and Ivory some breakfast. And I heard Ivory crying last night, is it about the thing that's also bothering you"...
Micha nodded and Nanny Nancy left for the kitchen.
