"There is hope," He spoke uncontrollably.
"The Clarimond will rise," he spoke again.
"Our family will rise once more."
Lucas is cautious, stingy, and hard-working. He grew up in the Clarimond family, a once-wealthy and influential rising echelon. But what'd you expect from somebody with his shocking past. The servants of Clarimond that is the true purpose of Lucas.
Lucas's family were only poor back then and were the only faithful, loyal servant of Clarimond for generations, but at that point, things took a turn for the worst. The day the Clarimond Family joined to bow their head to the Duke Van farrow was when they lost everything. Their wealth and power were drained, tossed aside to be only a tool for the Van farrow.
An act of terrorism and was headed for a life of misery. While persued by the head, the family of Clarimond surrender, and they did. The expectation of being treated almost as equals were not delivered. The Van farrow brought nothing but Flames of tyranny to the Clarimond.
Insane actions were justified as righteous; the lands that belonged to the Clarimond family were sold, their people starved. The Van farrow family stripped their wealth all within a few years.
[All because of that cursed witch]
Anger suddenly filled Lucas's teary eyes; his body shook. While haunted by memories, he hopes to forget about the history, yet Lucas arched his head up and did not find the young Lord. Lucas begins to recall the day he first meet the young Lord. Alden was a little child back then, but Lucas vividly remembered the day when the child was being ostracised even by his own mother. Cecily Clarimond, remembering that name, has set a wave of unquenchable anger for Lucas,
A whole lot can be said about Cecily Clarimond, but the fact she's apathetic and uncaring is just the tip of the iceberg. Never mind the fact she's also disturbing, destructive, and dominating, but fortunately, they're balanced out slightly by being forthright as well. Cunning to the point, she outright chose to abandon her child simply because he was not talented in magic. Her grim ways had caused the young Alden to cry for days for his mother, not even when months-old child Alden was not given an exemption of faith.
Alden is the youngest out of all the children of Van farrow, yet he received the harshest treatments. Alden, a small child at the age of two, would cry when he glimpsed at his mother; he would yell, scream and beg, he would even try to cling onto her robs, yet Cecily Clarimond personal maids would stop all attempts. And at one point, Cecily Clarimond had enough of the young Alden pestering that she ordered one of the maids to beat him right in front of Lucas and the Clarimond and Van farrow family.
That day everyone had realized that, even if it was her child, the woman named Cecily Clarimond would not treat you as her own.
Cecily Clarimond's mother had died when she was young, yet for someone like Lucas, he has heard many secrets regarding what happened to Cecily Clarimond's mother; even back then, Cecily Clarimond has always been the cold-hearted type. Lucas had heard her many times mentioning her hatred towards the Clarimond family, And Cecily Clarimond had made it taboo for anyone who speaks even her mother's name to be killed no matter who it was.
She is condescending even to her father, She, on her own, meet the newly titled Duke van farrow and somehow becomes part of the family in exchange for the Van farrow to sink their claw into the Clarimond family wealth. Yet not even the head of the family could do nothing but succumb to her treacherous ways. With a smile, she handed everything to the Van farrow.
But all misery comes in gold in this world; with what had happened, good things also fallows. Somehow Alden's grandfather Jasper Clarimond had always loved his grandchildren no matter what. Out of all the children that Cecily Clarimond has birthed, Alden was the only one who did not act the way the other children of Van farrow did toward Jasper Clarimond.
Jasper Clarimond was an eccentric, mighty knight with a golden heart. If only he did not lose to Mason Van Farrow's father. Anyways as Alden grew to accept that he would never receive his mother's attention, Alden sought Jasper's comfort. Jasper treated Alden as his own. Jesper used all his connection and power to get Alden this city to rule. Hoping that maybe instead of being treated wrongfully by the Van farrow, Alden could make something of himself one day.
"And this day had finally come" Lucas looked up again and smiled.
