Chereads / Fairy Tail: Sun Eater / Chapter 56 - 56. Gravity Element

Chapter 56 - 56. Gravity Element

Ben starts to train Sun Dragon Slayer's gravity element. He has learned the theory but hasn't tried it at all. So at least he knows what to do and the concept behind the gravity element.

AI Chip told him that he need to learn the fire, light, & heat first because they will form the plasma. It's also because gravity is harder to train than the others.

AI Chip also told Ben to find gravity magic references as many as possible. But it's very hard to find gravity magic even in the school library.

He only found 6 books about gravity magic so far. All of them are just basic and only available in the school library. He doesn't find any in magic public store. Even Roubaul doesn't understand much about gravity magic.

The Sun Dragon Slayer magic manual in AI Chip's database has more information than the books that he found. But the books have some pieces of information that the Dragon Slayer manual doesn't have.

AI Chip transfers all the information about gravity magic to Ben's brain. Ben needs an hour to process all those information completely. Then he tries to use gravity magic.

He starts from the basic spell which is just pulling an object to his hand. He tries it on a cloth because it's light and small. He won't start by using a heavy-weighted object on his first try.

"Sun Dragon's Attraction!" Ben says the spell name.

Ben use the spell and form the magic circle on his right hand. Then he point it at the small piece of cloth on the ground. The cloth then moves close to Ben's hand and finally flies to his hand.

"Ooh, it's very interesting. I think I will like this gravity element," says Ben while smiling wide.

Ben then tries it again on heavier objects until he finds his limit. The max weight that he can pull is 50 kg now. Well, he just started, so he can't pull something too heavy.

Then Ben tries to use another spell that has a wide area of effect. This spell increases the planet's gravity on an area. So it will pull anything on that area down.

"Sun Dragon's Authority!"

Ben tries it, and he can use it in 5 meters radius with him as the center. As the magic-user, he doesn't feel any change with the gravity. But AI Chip calculated that the spell add the normal gravity by 20%.

This spell can be used around him or another place that he aims. He can also make the gravity affect him or not. It's quite versatile, as long as he masters it and can use it freely.

The spell's name is also quite unique, Sun Dragon's Authority. It was made by Escanor because anyone who entered his gravity spell domain will be pulled down by it. They would look like bowing down to him, hence the name Authority.

It was the representation of Escanor's high pride in his power. Escanor was a very prideful Dragon that has full belief in his power. He believed that he was the strongest among the Dragons, but it is true even to this day.

At least that's what Ben read from AI Chip's narration of Escanor. He doesn't know whether it's a coincidence or not. But this Escanor is similar to the Escanor from Seven Deadly Sins. Both of them are very prideful with their power, and they're the strongest among their kin.

"Hmm, maybe it's the multiverse theory where there are many versions of someone in a different universe? Ugh, it's confusing, let's forget about it," says Ben.

Ben then asks Bella & Carla to throw rocks of the same size in the spell area and outside area. Bella throws a rock in the spell area while Carla is on the outside. They throw it with the same power and the ones that enter the spell area fall noticeably faster.

"Even 20% addition has shown such change. It's just a fifth of the normal gravity, not even double of it. If I can make 10 times gravity, then it will be very heavy," says Ben after analyzing the spell's effect.

The Sun's gravity is far greater than the planet's gravity. It can even affect the planets in the solar system to move around it. If Ben can utilize the full gravity power of the Sun, then he can even pull the moon down.

"Maybe I'm exaggerating, but that sounds possible with the Sun's full gravity power. I don't know how long I need to train and reach that level though," ponders Ben.

Ben leaves that thinking and focuses on training again. He keeps using the spell and improve his area of effect and power. He reach his limit at 15 meters radius and 2 times gravity, or 100% addition.

He still has many MP left, so Ben tries the last basic spell that he needs to learn. This spell is a Dragon's & Dragon Slayer's signature move. Ben gather MP in his mouth and create a magic circle in front of it.

Ben takes a deep breath and says the spell's name, "Sun Dragon's Gravity Roar!"

Ben roar and spew out black purplish energy from his mouth. He aim the roar of the forest and it hit the trees. The trees get destroyed and the surrounding trees also got affected even though they aren't hit.

When Ben finishes his spell, he asks AI Chip. "Why's it affecting the surrounding trees?"

[It's because of the gravity. The gravity in your roar pulls the surrounding objects just like how gravity should be.]

"Oh, so if it gets stronger, it will affect wider area too?" asks Ben.

[Yes, but the effect will not be as big as the other spells that are used purely to affect a wide area.]

"Hmm, okay. So now I have fire, heat, light, and gravity. I can also use plasma by combining fire, light, and heat. Damn, 4 basic elements and 1 combination element at once. No wonder you told me to not use the Heat Dragon Lacrima," says Ben.

[That's right. You already have many things to learn. You can't take more or it will only halt your power growth. You also need to know that you can combine your gravity with the other elements and create the perfect sun power.]

"You mean my solar power isn't perfect yet?" asks Ben.

[Yes, it's not perfect yet.]

"Sigh, I thought I'm good enough," says Ben while sighing.

Ben trains his Sun Dragon's Gravity Roar again until he runs out of MP. His gravity roar is far weaker than his other roars. But he thinks that this gravity power is more interesting because it's very rare.

After his training, Ben learns the other advanced gravity spells that he still can't train currently. All those spells are interesting and Ben wants to try them soon. But he knows he needs to focus on the basics and strengthen his foundation.

So now Ben make his plan to train the gravity element as fast as he can. But he still prioritizes the strong foundation and not just fast improvement. If he ignores the foundation, his power will be fragile.

He make the general plan together with AI Chip. Together with AI Chip, Ben can plan the best steps to learn this gravity element. Of course, he doesn't forget the training for his physique and other elements. All of those are important for him, so he also put them in his plan.

Ben finished his planning and from that day, his hard training started. It's like repeating the 2 years where he just keeps training. But now he still does other things like jobs and playing. It's just that he trains a lot more often than usual.

Ben train, do his jobs and play with the girls. He trains on Tuesday to Friday, plays with the girls on Sunday, and takes jobs on Monday & Saturday.

On Monday, he teaches at the Magic School, while on Saturday, he takes a lone job. Ben now takes a lone job almost every week, not once every 2 weeks. He uses the lone job as training after all.

His training & jobs are done very well. He can solve the problems that he faces in his jobs & training. Then 5 months after he started his gravity element training, a piece of news come from Magic School. They will hold a Graduation Exam.
