It's Monday now and Team Ben goes to Magic School. There will be a graduation exam now and the Headmaster asked them to help. The exam will be held for around a week, so they need to clear their schedule.
"Will everyone be okay in this exam?" asks Wendy worriedly.
"They'll be fine. They've shown good progress in these 7 months since we taught them. Besides, this exam is just a formality," says Ben.
"Formality?" asks Carla.
"Yeah. The school won't make someone fail at all because that's not what they're made for. This exam is just for them to show their progress and achievements after learning in school. The scores that they get will help them to enter a Guild or Organizations like the Council," says Ben.
"So it will be easier for them to get jobs if they have high scores?" asks Carla.
"Yeah," says Ben.
Team Ben arrive at the school after half an hour. They go to the Headmaster's room to meet him first. The Headmaster welcome them and then take them to the meeting room.
In the meeting room, there are many teachers. Of course, all of them are adults. Only Team Ben's members who are still children here and 2 of them are not even humans.
The adult teachers are looking at Team Ben curiously. Wendy hide behind Ben while hugging Carla. Bella just lay lazily on Ben's head, uninterested by the gazes.
"Who are these kids? .... And cats?" asks a buffed male teacher.
"They're also teachers here, although just part-time teachers. They teach on Monday to help Mr. Raul," says the Headmaster.
"Raul? So these kids are teaching that class? HAHAHA, KIDS ARE TEACHING KIDS. SO LAUGHABLE," says the buffed teacher while laughing loudly.
"Heh, it's decided. Those kids will only get low scores, just like the last year's students in that class. They'll be nothing after graduation," says another male teacher while snickering.
"Low-leveled class & students always need low-leveled teacher, right, Raul?" asks a female teacher while smirking.
"You guys, stop it! They are still our school's students, we need to support them and hope the best for them," says a female teacher who wears glasses.
"It's useless, the students in that class never show any good results after graduation. Most of them will just be stray mages or even dark mages," says another teacher.
The teachers get into heated up arguments. Many are mocking the last class students, while a few are supporting them. Raul doesn't say anything and just sips his tea calmly. He knows his students are not bad and he's sure that they're actually the best in their grade.
Ben just sighs and says in low voice, "What a bunch of clowns."
The loud room suddenly turns silent and everyone looks at Ben. Ben looks back at them with a strong gaze. He messed up and doesn't realize that they can hear him. But he doesn't care and looks back at them.
"What? You don't like what I said, clowns?" asks Ben nonchalantly.
"Kids, you should watch your mouth! Every one of us here can beat you up with ease. So don't make us angry," says the buffed teacher.
"Woah, so scary~. Look, you scared the Headmaster until he doesn't say anything at all until now," says Ben while pointing at the Headmaster.
The teachers look at the Headmaster and realize their blunder. They got so absorbed in their arguments that they forget that the Headmaster is here. They immediately sit back in their seat and only look at Ben angrily.
'This kid, he uses me as a shield. Sigh, but at least we can start the meeting now,' thinks the Headmaster.
The Headmaster takes his seat and they start their meeting. Ben doesn't say anything and just listens to the discussion. He just needs to know the contents of this school's exam.
The exam will be held for 5 days starting tomorrow. There will be a written exam on the first day. Then magic practical exam on the second day, and battle exam with tournament system for the next 3 days.
Ben & Raul aren't worried at all about their students. Those kids will do just fine on every exam, especially practical and battle exams.
It's because Ben & Raul are focusing on teaching them practical things. After all, those kids aren't that smart. But Raul still tried his best to teach them theoretical stuff because he know they will need it.
Nothing much happen until the meeting finished. They all agree with the exam and then return home. Team Ben also return to their guild to prepare for tomorrow.
The next day, they start the written exam. The questions in this exam came from the Kingdom Magic School committee. So there won't be any difference in difficulties for every student.
There's no problem with the written exam and it finishes right on time. The answer sheets are scored right away using a magic item that can help them check the answer sheets fast.
The result of the written test surprised the teachers. Ben's class students actually get high scores. Furthermore, all 11 students in that class enter the top 30 from 124 students, and one of the students, Dito gets the highest score.
They accuse Ben's class of cheating, but they can't find any proof. They can only accept it and think of it as a bluff or luck. No one of them believes that these students can achieve this result on their own.
But at the magic practical exam on the 2nd day, the teachers are dumbfounded. In this exam, the students showed their best magic spells and will be scored.
The judges for this exam are 3 Guild Masters from nearby Guild, and 2 officers from Magic Council. Whether it's a coincidence or not, but one of the officers is Geld who always worked with Ben.
Ben's students are dominating this exam and all 11 of them enter the top 15. There're only 4 students from the S-Class in the top 15. Even so, these 4 can only get the 6th, 10th, 14th, and 15th positions.
"Headmaster, your students this year are very strong. The top 20 students only have small gaps between them. They will easily enter the council with their power," says Geld to Headmaster.
"Yeah, we don't need the result of the battle exam to accept these students. Our guild will happily take them and nurture them," says Titan Nose's Guild Master.
"He is right, fighting skills are formed through experience. But magic spell mastery is hard to achieve. Of these 15 students, 11 of them are just using basic spells. Even so, their spells' power is really high. That means their mastery over their spells is quite high," says Phoenix Grave's Guild Master.
The 11 students that he mentions are Ben's students. Ben has told them to use the spells that they've mastered the most. That's why all of them use their basic magic spells because they've mastered it completely.
But their basic spells can even surpass the power of high-leveled spells that the S-Class students used. It's because those S-Class students have just learned their high-leveled spells. So their masteries are still low even if the spells have high power.
"Actually, those 11 students are from the same class," says Headmaster.
"As I thought. They are too similar," says Orochi's Fin's Guild Master.
"What do you mean?" asks Geld's comrade.
"They use basic spells while the others use higher-level spells. Then from their spell, I can sense their magic control is about the same. Furthermore, the 11 of them can cast their spells at a similar pace," says Titan Nose's Guild Master.
"That means they're taught with the same method and curriculum, which must've come from the same teacher," says Phoenix Grave's Guild Master.
The Headmaster is surprised by the Guild Masters' fast & accurate analysis. 'High-level Mages are really different.'
"Basic level spells are the base of their magic spells. So by mastering it, they will have a better foundation for more advanced spells. Headmaster, you must have a good teacher for this class. I can't wait for the battle exam tomorrow," says Geld while smiling and looking at Ben who is with his students.
