"The both of you are so sloppy. You guys couldn't even realize that there would be snipers too. Well, I got rid of them so there's no need to worry." his face now had a malicious smile on it. The sword that he held suddenly started being enveloped in a bright blue aura. The aura even leaked out of the man's eyes.
"Darius, when did you become an Indominus?" asked Adrihel.
"Ohh, don't mistake me for an Indominus. I'm not an Indominus. Moreover, should we be keeping them waiting? Let's deal with this."
"Okay, hold them off until my androids boot up completely."
Marc was watching the enemy carefully. They were waiting for backup. And for some reason, they were scared by Adrihel. When Marc looked back to where the man was, there was no one. He suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder. Looking there, Marc saw him getting ready to dash.
"I handle them myself even before your androids boot up. Adrihel…"
Darius dashed ahead. The ground beneath his feet, cracked from the pressure he released while dashing. The enemy soldiers rushed in to kill. Darius deflected incoming blasts and stopped running, stepped back, and slashed his blade in the air. The bright blue aura was concentrated and launched when Darius slashed.
12 of the enemies charging in were cut clean in half, blood spurting everywhere. Their comrades were too stunned even to take a step forward. Some of them evaded the slash and saved their skins. Darius stood there with a wide wicked grin on his face. He dashed forward again. Marc and Adrihel could see him because of their beast-like instincts but those in the enemy ranks couldn't keep up with his movements. Darius charged into their frontlines with no hesitation, then Marc and Adrihel could only hear the enemies scream. They were so shocked at Darius's skill and intense bloodlust that they did not sense a guy creeping upon them from the back. The bloodlust that was concentrated in the massacre up ahead of Marc and Adrihel suddenly shot to their position.
Marc looked back suddenly to see a man slash his blade at them. A bullet was shot and the man fell, with the bullet lodged in his brain. Marc looked towards Adrihel to see him lower his handgun.
"Unbelievable. To think that even I would be stunned enough to not sense a sloppy assassin behind me." Adrihel looked towards Darius again and mumbled "Darius… What were you doing these 10 years?"
After roughly 2 minutes more, all the screaming stopped. Just because there was no one left to scream. Darius stood there panting, covered in blood that was not his own.
Marc did not understand what was happening. A guy he did not know, leaped into a battle that was not his own. Fought and massacred everyone that even Marc and Adrihel couldn't seemingly leave unscathed. He even sensed a hostile coming up behind us and warned us. And mainly Adrihel even seemed to know the guy.
"Who is he?" asked Marc
"He is…." just as Adrihel started answering, Darius cut in "Ohh, you don't recognize your guardian angel. Wait, Adrihel. You didn't tell him? What's wrong with you? This ain't some sci-fi movie that you'd keep all this hidden, man. You gotta lose that habit of yours."
"Alright, I've had enough. Now that my androids are ready, I'll go mop up the rest of 'em. Darius, you take care of the ship that is floating around. Explaining all this will come afterward. Marc, head to the bunker."
"Tch, right back to ordering me around, huh. Well, it seems that you've got some leads. Okay, I'll take care of the ship." said Darius, irritated. He then sprinted off.
"You owe me some answers," Marc said before leaving.
Adrihel sighed loudly 'Things have started to heat up. I knew that this day would come eventually'

"Look, there's the bunker. Hurry up, everyone stays behind me and Zayne," said Austin.
Austin's Mom, Dad, and his sister stayed behind Zayne and Austin as they looked out for enemies.
They cautiously approached the bunker. Austin took out his rifle-grade blaster and started scouting the surroundings. It was silent everywhere but something was off. There are bound to be people here and assailants pursuing them because this is the only major public disaster bunker in the 64th District.
"Head towards that building there," said Zayne pointing at a ruined building to their right "We can stay there till we confirm that the bunker is safe. Approaching the bunker is too dangerous for now, we should keep an eye from that building." Austin nodded in agreement.
Entering the building, Austin saw three disfigured corpses. The stairway was intact, it went on to the third floor. Everything that was above it was hit with such force that the debris crashed into other buildings and destroyed them.
After looking for some time they found a room on the second floor that wasn't damaged. Every other room had cracked floors and ceilings which looked to be on the verge of collapsing. They even found some food and water.
"Son, I'll stand guard here. You and Zayne should head up to the 3rd floor and keep a lookout." said Kendrick. "Okay Dad, take this blaster and alert us through this device," instructed Austin and gave Kendrick his spare blaster and a small device.
Austin and Zayne found a good place to hide and keep a lookout on the bunker. The building was about 3 buildings away.
"What do we do if Marc marches straight in there? He may do that."
"Well Zayne, keep a look on the farthest end of this street. I've synced my location with his combat gear. Although the communications department is the first that's seemingly dealt with by the assailants, our combat gear should at least notify us when we're close by."
"Okay, we have limited resources. Enough for 2 days, I think. So, we should stay here till tomorrow and move out."
