Chapter 1 - PROLOG: An unexpected encounter.

The bar was dimly lit and smelled of cigarette smoke, alcohol and bad choices. A man sat in the dark corner booth. His face hidden in the shadows. His black t-shirt only serving as a highlight for his muscular torso.

two girls of about 21 glanced at him as they entered the bath room giggling. He didn't even look at them. His eyes on the door that led to the parking lot. He had not moved since he sat down three hours ago. His whiskey sat untouched, the ice now melted.

"Hey El?" The manager called as he emerged from the back with the case of vodka the bar tender had asked for.

"Yeah?" The pretty waitress in her early twenties inquired as she approached the bar. she had long crimson hair that was pulled back in a high ponytail and porcelain skin. Her eyes were a deep shade of forest green. Her facial features were pixie like. At 4'5 her perfect curves and large breasts were well defined by her slightly too tight uniform, a white crop top black jeans and small red appron.

"The guy, in the back corner, is he still....alive?" the manger was concerned that some weirdo had chosen to die in his bar and now he had a body to deal with.

"Do you want me to go check?" El asked worried she already knew the answer.

"Yeah." El sighed heavily and made her way to the booth where he sat. Stopping at a few tables to check on other patrons so as not to seem scared. The last thing they needed was for her to cause a panic. She could not afford to lose this job. Not with her two young siblings at home relying on her to put food on the table. Her father and step mom doing God only knew what for days on end.

"Sir?" She asked as she approached, plastering on her customer service smile. She opted to tap her knuckles on the table top when he did not answer. She knew when he turned his attention to her.

"My friend is just running a little late." There was no anger or annoyance in his deep voice as he said the words. Just the opposite. He seemed rather amused.

"Sir...I think you've been stood up." El said apologetically.

"I think you're right." He sighed as he leaned forward to reveal his face. He had a solid jawline. His nose looked as if it had been badly broken at some point and had healed slightly crooked. His features so beautiful that only Aphordite could have sculpted them to make Adonis weep in shame. His short black hair was combed back neatly. His eyes were a beautiful ice blue that she could drown in. "I don't mean to be a burden." he said as he reached across the table and took the hand that rested there. At his touch she felt all her stress and worry melt away as her heart skipped a beat. Her mind took a nose dive into the gutter.

"Oh come on El his dick has got to be pretty small."

"Um actually its not." She looked up into his eyes and saw an amused grin lighting his perfect face. She flushed red then went completely pale.

"Did I say that out loud?" She asked in horror. He burst into booming laughter that had people staring. "Please don't tell my boss. I can't lose this job." She pleaded.

"Never." He said as he leaned back in his seat wiping tears of laughter from his eyes. "Could you get my check, please? I have to get to work." She hurried back to the bar and gave tom a strained smile.

"He wants his check." She said as she dashed behind the till.

"What was he laughing about?" Bart, the bar tender, asked as Tom, the manger, narrowed his eyes at her suspiciously.

"Don't worry about it bart." El said as she ripped his check from the printer and speedwalked back to him.

"Here you are sir." She smiled at him and saw that he had downed his whiskey. "And I am so sorry abo-"

"Don't worry about it. Alot of people assume that. Although you are the first one to say it to my face. That took guts." He smiled as he handed her back the check and two bills that were rolled up together. "The whiskey is a little bit watery by the way."

"Well maybe you won't let the ice melt next time." She knew she was pushing her luck but fortune favors the bold as they say. She was rewarded with another round of deep booming laughter.

"Yeah maybe." He said as his laughter died down. He scooted out from the booth and stood. El had to crain her neck upwards to look at this tall Greek God of a man. He was at least two and a half feet taller than her with the 5 inch platform stilettos she was wearing to round out her height to 5 feet. his legs looked like tree trunks with black denim sewd around them. She swallowed hard as her eyes went down to the large bulge in his pants. Els mind once again dove face first into the gutter...and his too tight pants. Her own dark black jeans suddenly seemed painfully tight and she flexed her thighs in an attempt to relieve the heat that sprang out of nowhere between them. Maybe it was her imagination but she swore she saw the bulge in his pants twitch and get bigger.

Suddenly the door of the bar was thrown open. The bulge in his pants vanished as he raised his hand in greeting to the new comer. "Keep the change." He said with a breathtaking smile and left. El was shocked to find that she felt a little bit empty when the door swung closed.

"Well.....that was....unexpected." she muttered and dashed behind the till to close his tab.
