Lied, Patricia and Letha had been wandering about the forest for the past few days. They would occasionally encounter a monster they had never seen before, but it would always stay a certain distance from them, almost as if an outer force was keeping them safe.
"This sucks," Patricia commented while they were seated down and resting.
She removed a boot and her sock to wiggle her toes and massage the soles of her feet. She glanced over to Letha had picked up a stick and was poking Lied with the stick. Lied raised an eyebrow, telling her monotonously, "Never heard that before."
"Shut up," She sighed.
They had attempted to relocate the river but found themselves unable to do so. Instead, they travelled where Valentine directed them. She was insistent that they continue to travel north as it would be the shortest and simplest path to take as well as the one which would have the least amount of danger.
