Lily was on the highest floor of the Maigikn Headquarters. She had just written down what had happened to show to Kakry who also seemed unsure. He scratched his head as he replied to her, "I think I know who did this, but I can't exactly tell why she would do this."
He thought about it for a bit before shaking his head. "It's almost impossible to try and change her mind. Instead of trying to find a way around this, why don't you go on the excursion instead? It should be relatively low risk. You can also get a glimpse of the forest beyond Babil."
Lily was left contemplating her future actions.
She was put into a group with people she did not fully know. It was scary. Besides that, leaving the security of the Capital seemed even scarier to her. Perhaps if she called in sick, the Academy would allow her to skip the excursion. Perhaps she could just refuse to show up on the day itself.
