Letha was staring at Yuumeislyk. She gently touched the human version of the Nine-tailed Fox, asking, "Are you okay?"
Yuumeislyk sat up.
The last explosion had done quite a number on her. She was lucky enough to have a tough body, otherwise, she might have really been a goner. Though one fact still confused Yuumeislyk. The orb that was her lifeline was at risk, yet she had chosen to protect Letha. In fact, she could have tried to dodge the human's last attack and attacked the human instead. So why did it try to protect Letha?
Yuumeislyk looked up, still seeing the Spirit of Immortality.
Why did she have to protect a being that could not die? She would not have been in such a precarious situation had she chosen any other course of action.
