On the eighth floor of Babil.
Time was passing uneventfully.
Valentine had assumed that the guardian of Babil was taking a more active role in protecting the tower. However, the more time passed, the more she started to realise the true intent of the fox. Eventually, Valentine came to a stop and kicked the nearby wall.
"What's wrong?" Desmond asked.
She glared at the human who had decided to follow her. She took several deep breaths before looking away. Her time was running out.
They had yet to encounter the fox since the very first moment they stepped into Babil. Valentine had watched it kill a creature that had appeared out of thin air. She had only caught a glimpse of it, but by observing the lingering memory, she managed to identify the creature. It was a Kaldnsupp, an endangered species.
