The barrier dissipated.
The fire user punched down at where she was assumed to be stuck. Minister Mei was pinned down by the spikes of ice that were below her. She swung the metal rod that was burning hot up at the fire user.
The thin rod connected, knocking into his head and making him stumble. before he could fall on the spikes, the ice retracted, resulting in the fire user falling on Minister Mei. He exploded into flames, burning Minister Mei at point blank range.
When she tried to dig her claws into him, her flesh burnt away.
The fire user attempted to get up but was held down by Minister Mei. She dug the rod through his hand and into the ground, pinning him. She then raised her other hand which was burning to the bone. She dug that hand into his neck, her bones digging as deep as they could until the fire stopped.
While invisible, most of her body had been burnt. She sat there, her flesh regenerating.
