On the way back, Slyk was kept in the arms of the masked men. It stopped struggling after noticing its futility. It wanted to find and return to Letha. It remembered making a promise to stay by her side, but Letha herself had run away.
When brought into a big house, Slyk was carried to a room. It was thrown into a cage.
When the masked men left, Slyk sat in the cage, staring at the ground. Not only did it get separated from Letha, but Letha had also willingly abandoned Slyk.
After some time, the woman Slyk had seen walked into the room.
She sat down on a chair, the masked men behind her. She told the fox, "You are really something, aren't you?"
Slyk glared at her.
She chuckled, telling it, "I am assuming you can understand me. From now on, I want you to become my pet."
Slyk turned around to ignore her.
"Shock it."
