Verxy stood face to face with her research partner.
"If you have time to act friendly with strangers, you could spend that time doing research," He grumbled.
Verxy frowned and said to him, "It was only for a few minutes. Besides, everyone has to take a break eventually."
"Yeah, but all you do is take breaks apparently," He started ranting. "You've done almost nothing to further our research! I've been wracking my brain day and night figuring out how to make it work, and all you do is meet up and talk to people."
"I have a social life," Verxy told him. "Unlike you, I have friends and family. People talk to me because they want to know more about Babil, what's wrong with that? Sorry if life without your wife is difficult, but I can't work all day as you have!"
He raised his arm before hesitating. Verxy crossed her arms and stared him straight in the eyes. "Go ahead then, punch me. You'll get punished by your superiors if you do."
