Patricia pressed her back against a wall as she peeked over the corner. Dragged into the situation, Lied was just standing there, moderately confused. He cleared his throat to get Patricia's attention before asking, "Uh... what are you doing?"
She turned back and put a finger to her lips. "Shhh! I gotta be sneaky about this."
She looked around the corner once more before signalling Lied to get closer. She then made a break for it, dashing across the street. Lied ran after her, not exactly sure what she was getting at. Patricia made it to a door and opened it, letting Lied in before she slammed it shut. She let out a breath of relief before walking forward.
"Mom? I'm home!" She announced.
An older woman walked out. She looked a lot like Patricia. She had white hair and blue eyes like Patricia but had wrinkles and obvious signs of ageing. Patricia embraced her mother before showing her Lied. "This is my friend, Lied."
