Lied was dragged out of the way as the monster crashed into the ground, passing directly through it before emerging some distance away. The vampire threw Lied aside before red mist appeared around the monster. She told the monster, "Don't get in my way."
She clenched her hand, her entire arm shaking as the red mist collapsed around it. The monster struggled and squirm, its tail swinging wildly. Lied stepped away as the tail came dangerously close to him. The bladed end of the monster's tail passed right through the vampire.
She raised her arm, the monster being lifted into the air.
The monster struggled, and eventually, the mist dissipated. The vampire dropped her arm, letting it hang loosely. She cursed as the monster took another dive at Lied. She put a hand between them, but it swerved around her and directly at Lied, its mouth opened wide.
"Human!" She called out, looking back.
Lied clutched his Magic Stone. The moon was shining rather brightly.
