Akuji and Lily had managed to secure a carriage, but there was a large problem.
Akuji, for one, did not know where exactly Lily's home City was. Lily herself tried writing the name of the city down, but Akuji did not know.
Instead, they showed the name of the city to the carriage driver. The driver nodded and scanned a map before heading off.
"I'll be using the main road, so the journey's going to take a longer time," The driver told them in advance. "It'll take a whole day and some. We'll stop by two Cities on the way, rest up before continuing on our journey."
Lily was already in the carriage, way ahead of Akuji and the driver. The driver stared at Lily, not sure what to make out of her behaviour.
"Thank you," Akuji thanked the driver. "We'll go with what you've suggested."
Late morning that day, Akuji and Lily set off from the Capital. They had spent a night there, and they were immediately off.
