Akuji shook Lily awake. She had slept for most of the journey to the Capital because of her motion sickness.
She opened her eyes slowly, rubbing them before she was carried out of the carriage by Akuji. Akuji thanked the driver before adjusting Lily into a more comfortable position on his back. Lily waved the driver off sleepily, only able to slowly wave her hand.
Akuji had managed to get past the guards at the wall thanks to the driver, so they had owed him quite a bit.
Lily looked around the place. It was dark out and rather late at night. Glowstones were lit up along the streets, and houses shut their doors. Lily saw buildings she had never seen before, architecture that resembled what she only ever saw in books.
"Let's get you to a doctor first, then we can find a place to stay," Akuji told Lily.
