Akuji approached Sinhi, who gestured to the carriage. He told Akuji, "As requested, a carriage headed to the Capital. The driver is a trusted man far and wide, he will undoubtedly bring you to your destination."
"Ah, thank you," Akuji thanked Sinhi. "How can I repay you for your kindness?"
Sinhi glanced at Lily before shaking his head. "No, there's not much you need to do to repay me. You and your companion over there simply have to remain silent."
Akuji would be lying if he said he did not see that coming. He nodded and easily agreed. "Surely, it is a simple manner to repay your kindness."
"I want you to make an oath," Sinhi declared.
Akuji froze before he stared at Sinhi. "How do you know of it?"
Sinhi looked away, sighing. "I do suppose I've done some research on your people. I have met a few of your kind, and I have discovered oaths. I assume you know what it means?"
