Akuji and Lily had breakfast as quickly as they could. Akuji then let Lily rest for a few minutes before packing up his stuff. He was rather familiar with riots and knew that at any moment, they could be in danger. It was for the best if they left, with or without the carriage.
Akuji carried Lily on his back once again before leaving. They waved to the inn owner before opening the door. It was early in the morning, the rioting was unusually loud around the inn. It was odd... as if everyone had gathered near the inn to riot.
Akuji opened the door and came face to face with a man who was similar in height. The man had green eyes and black hair. He had a cold smile, and he held himself with utmost pride and confidence. He wore expensive-looking clothes and jewellery.
Akuji looked him in the eyes, and he found that his body was not listening to him. He felt as if his body was being frozen. He remained in place as the man looked Akuji up and down before facing Lily.
