Since Jiang Meili was not expecting her in-laws, she ordered the kitchen staff to cook more dishes. By the time they finished eating it was already very late and so everyone retired to their respective rooms.
"Come, Wang, Mengmeng, let's get you ready for bed!" Jiang Meili pointed to them to go upstairs while she carried sleeping Xiaobao to his crib in his room.
When Jiang Meili exited Xiaobao's room and wanted to go toward Fu Xi Wang's room, she met Fu Zhen on the way.
"It's already so late. You take care of Mengmeng. I will look after Wang," said Fu Zhen.
"Are you sure? You know Wang stil…" Jiang Meili gave him a confused look.
"It's okay. He needs to get used to the fact that I am his father. And don't worry I will not force him," said Fu Zhen in an attempt to ease her mind.
Jiang Meili then nodded and went towards Mengmeng's room.
Actually, from a very young age Fu Xi Wang was very smart and had a sharp memory. For him, Fu Shen was always with him and so Fu Shen is his father. So later when found out that Fu Zhen was his biological father, he held grudges against him and so kept on making things difficult for Fu Zhen.
Shaking those thoughts away, Jiang Meili entered Fu Meng's room only to find the girl still playing with her dolls.
"FU MENG! I asked you to freshen up. Why are you still playing? '' Jiang Meili tried to pretend she was angry which failed miserably.
Seeing that she is only pretending to be angry, Fu Meng giggled and said, "Mommy, I am still a baby. How can I do all these by myself? Hmm."
"Fine! Come I will help you take a bath," said Jiang Meili and carried her daughter to the bathroom.
After making sure her daughter was finally asleep, Jiang Meili slowly got up from the bed and left the room as quietly as possible to not wake up the little girl.
When she entered the master bedroom, the scene before her instantly reminded the night she gave birth to Fu Xi Wang. Like that night, Fu Zhen just came out of the bathroom. The only difference was instead of trousers, he had a towel around her waist.
Fu Zhen was looking very alluring while drying his hair. His toned muscles and taut abs made him look very captivating. Her thoughts started to drift towards the countless nights they spent rolling the sheets and how his body felt when her hand roamed around it.
By the time she realized how perverted her thoughts were, it was already late. Her face was already red and to make it worse Fu Zhen also noticed it. Keeping the dryer on the table, Fu Zhen asked, "Are you feeling well? Do you have a fever?"
Fu Zhen came near her and raised his hand to touch her forehead. Avoiding his touch, Jiang Meili said, "I a...I am fine. It's really hot today. I need to take a bath."
"Okay, if you say so. I already filled the bath with warm water. After your bath, let's talk, okay? Hmm?" Fu Zhen asked gently.
Nodding Jiang Meili ran towards the bathroom not really understanding what Fu Zhen said. Her mind was filled with Fu Zhen's unique smell and she could feel herself getting seduced by that.
'I must be out of my mind to get seduced by his smell only,' thought Jiang Meili. 'He was only talking to you, how can you have such perverted thoughts? Ha!'
That's when it clicked to her what Fu Zhen said before.
'What does he want to talk about? Does he want divorce? I guess it's okay after all we really don't love each other. But….' the more she thought, the more confused she got. Though they didn't love each other, still she spent the last few years of her life with him. She kind of felt a sense of belonging with him but now divorce.
"Ah! What am I gonna do? Maybe he doesn't want divorce. hmm , he might want to talk about the accident," Jiang Meili whispered to herself before taking bath.
As soon as she came out, Jiang Meili saw Fu Zhen was sitting on the bed reading a book. It seemed like he was waiting for her.
Slowly, Jiang Meili went towards the bed and sat beside Fu Zhen and covered her legs with the blanket.
When she again turned towards her, she saw Fu Zhen looking at her who suddenly said, " Meili, let's start anew."
