BOOM! BOOM!
"Focus fire the lighting mage!"
Lt Halifax shouted as the team had been fighting for the last twenty minutes.
The battle had been fully heated, the two teams that were fighting were both full elites but there had been no first blood yet.
Both teams were similar in terms of numbers, but the Ruhenese team had an extra member.
Though the team composition was same with four tier 2 mages.
If this team that Team 2 and Team Halifax were fighting was the same as the first mage team that they met when the fighting started, they would have finished the fight already.
In that previous situation, that team only had eight members with only two tier 2 mages.
The two teams, Team 2 and Team Halifax, completely destroyed that team with their four tier 2 mages and elite tier 1 mages like Grey and Miranda.
The battle had reached 20 minutes showing how elite the Ruhenese mages were, the Arinese side had met their match.
The occasional giant explosion occured due to powerful tier 4 spells could still be heard in the distance.
The tier 4 mages were also having their own magic brawl, though it was possible to see Commander Wells flouting in the air, still giving commands.
"I can't!."
Grey shouted back as he moved in high speed to dodge the focus fire of two powerful elite tier 1 mages.
The extra member of the Ruhenese team was a tier 1 mage and Grey had to deal with that person.
Grey double casted [Whirlwind Rockets] and [Multiple Crimson Fireballs] targeting the two mages who were focusing him down.
The fact that he could double cast made it possible to have an easy time whilst fighting more than one mage.
Mages who could not do the same, would be pressured heavily, thus in situations where the team meets extra enemies, it was Grey's job to deal with it.
It was decided this way to give the members of the team some increased survivability.
'My intuition has been acting up, and I can tell that the threat is not coming from this team but every direction.'
Grey looked towards the rest of the team, the tier 2 lieutenants were focused on their own battles, it was difficult to tell who would be winning anytime soon.
The tier 1 mages were either in teams of two or fighting separately.
Sharon and Ilse, and Kohler and William were the only tier 1 teams, the rest of the team members in Miranda and Scarlet were one woman teams.
'Miranda should be able to finish her battle soon, her enemy seems pressured by her powerful fire types spells. With her winning, she should be able to move around, with me, we should be able to move around and finish this battle.'
Grey felt that the team should move from this position as he could feel his intuition subtlety informing him of incoming danger, this could be hard to spot in a huge battlefield.
'I have to break her defence if I want to finish this battle, I have drawn this long enough.'
The female that Grey was talking about was a full defensive mage with Earth, Water and Wind affinities.
This made her a fast mobile defensive bulwark that seemed to always cover her offensive male counterpart.
BOOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
Grey narrowed his eyes as the female mage summoned a double wall of ice and rock to counter his [Whirlwind Rockets] and [Multiple Crimson Fireballs].
The male mage counterpart, took the chance to fire off multiple black spinning wind wheels.
Grey took the chance to make his play.
Grey countered the male's attack with tier 1 combination spell, [Great Solar Bulwark], a giant concentrated light materialised in front of Grey making a several metre defensive wall.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The black spinning wheels exploded on the wall leaving giant gashes where light leaked in large amounts.
However the wall held on with great strength.
The spell was designed with spells with darkness elements in mind, the element that made the most damage on the wall was the Wind elements that cut the giant gashes.
As the explosions were happening and cutting the wall, a beam only a millimetre in diameter was launched targeting the woman.
The woman was an elite thus she felt the threat as her intuition was screaming to her to run.
The woman did the best she could do in her situation, she knew she could not run thus she put up her best defensive spell.
A simple shield made of ice materialised in front of her.
The Ice shield had special runes written in front, the shape of the shield was a triangular shape with a thickness of 3 centimetres.
'I had to show this spell, [Thousand Year Primodial Ice Shield].'
Grey narrowed his eyes as he saw the shield materialise up.
'This feeling… Legendary…'
Grey, for the first time in his young life in this world, faced a Legendary spell as an opponent, even if it was a tier 1 Legendary spell.
'I am sure as the woman's vitality still exists, I can expect full disgusting cheat ability.'
Grey was proven correct as [Armour Piercing Beam Lance] hit the shield with full force radiating heat everywhere, however that failed to breach the Ice shield.
"Kary what did you do?!"
"I was going to die! Dear cousin."
The woman had a sarcastic tone to her voice a she answered her male counterpart.
"Grey Gram, you really live up to your bounty. Forcing me to us this spell."
"You know me?"
Grey was starting to understand why he had been feeling the way he had been.
'Damn, this is starting to get difficult."
The woman did not answer Grey's question.
"Jason hit him!"
The woman shouted to her male counterpart.
"You forced us!"
Jason shouted towards Grey with an angry face, as he looked at Kary start to have some of her blond hair turn grey.
"FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!"
Grey for the first time in a long time started to swear as mana in his body boil.
"GET READY FOR IMPACT!"
Grey shouted to his team members, Grey knew that the fellow called Jason was going to launch an offensive Legendary spell.
Grey knew that these spells were the most disgusting cheats in this magic world.
Before the rest to the team could understand the full threat, some of the members of the team were already in full retreat.
Grey turned to look at Jason who was behind Kary under the safety of her Ice shield, a small ball made of what seemed to be winds had materialised in his hand..
"[Million Gust Release]."
Grey heard Jason say those words as a part of his hair was now grey as well.
Grey could feel his intuition screaming to him that the small ball in Jason's hand was as deadly as spells can be even if it seemed not really deadly.
"Ah Fuck!"
"RELEASE!!"
