Chapter 80 - Chapter 80

Grey looked at the two females who were standing in front of his tent, both of them had heights around 1.60 metres and had average looks in terms of beauty.

'I did not know they were in this place.'

Grey looked at them for a few seconds.

The two females had thick auras of bloodthirst around them, it seemed that they had not learned how to control that aura.

"Hello. What can I do for you two?"

'How did they find me in this big place? There is a reason why I did not meet them before, because this place is that big.'

Grey greeted the two, whilst he wondered how they found his camp.

"Ah… I know what you are thinking Grey… I met the two lieutenants that took us to Witfield academy back then whilst I was busy with my orders. They had told me that you are in this FOB as well, thus I came to visit."

'They did not mention her when I saw them.'

Sophia said with a happy face, it seemed that guessing what Grey was thinking was an important thing for her.

"Oh, we also saw Ilse and Sharon, but they did not see us. Who would have thought that Grey and those two would be in the same team."

Sophia said with a face very full of jealousy that she failed to hide. Which made Cassandra to internally palm face herself.

"Oh, Cassie and myself are in the same team now, initially we were in different teams whilst being in the previously named FOB number 04, we were actually there in the [Battle Of The Black Tomb] on the Left Wing."

Sophia had a heavy face when she remembered the previous battle, but she quickly got her emotions in control and continued to ramble forward with giving Grey a turn to answer.

"But now, with the destruction of some teams, Cassie and myself are in the same team. Now I can protect her so she can be much safer."

Sophia continued to ramble for another minute about what had happen to her since they left the academy, Grey looked at her with a calm face that did not show what he was thinking.

"Ah… I am sorry Grey I got carried away."

"Good. Now, can you tell me what I can do for you."

The girl was a little bit stumped when Grey ask such a question.

"What do you mean?! Sophia came all this way to see you! You should be happy that she took her time to see you?!"

Grey looked at Cassandra like he was looking at an idiot.

'That is the reason that I hate people who like to force their feelings and beliefs on other people.'

Grey did not even retort to her, he did not want to get into a debate with an idiot.

"Cassie do not shout at Grey."

Sophia turned to Cassandra and said with a serious face.

"Hmph!!"

"Ah… That? Well I thought I should visit and check on your health."

Sophia turned back to Grey and said to him with a timid voice.

"I am fine, is there anything else?"

Sophia shook her head.

"Good. Don't visit again."

Grey said with a serious voice that did not garner any other response other than a 'yes'.

"…Yes."

Sophia had to say that with some difficulty.

'Grey has not changed at all, he still does not see me. Even though we are from the same orphanage, and can be considered to be siblings.'

'Damn this fuck, still hurting Sophia. Why do you still gravitate to worthless asshole, he has not done anything for you, that much anybody knows.'

Cassandra had fury in her heart as she saw Grey totally disregard Sophia.

Grey left the too standing outside his tent and went inside, he had to do some work on his magic ring.

Sophia and Cassandra left Grey's living space and left the camp of Team 2.

Sophia's heart was in turmoil, she had hoped that Grey could help her deal with the heavy burden that was weighing her down.

"Thank you Lieutenant Stein for letting us come inside your camp."

Sophia saluted to Qila as they left the camp, her heart might be in turmoil, but she would not let that mess her decorum in front of an officer.

She was still the same Sophia who followed rules to a T.

Though her efforts had failed way before, as 1st Lt Stein had seen through her mask. Qila looked at Sophia and Cassandra leave the camp with an inquisitive look.

"Grey what have you done to make this girl so obsessed with you?"

If Grey was around he would answer like this, 'Nothing, absolutely nothing.'.

In Grey's tent, Grey was seating in front of his table, studying his work.

'Those pacifists sure have done a lot of killing if they have such a deep bloody aura. The war must be difficult for them with their hate for killing. I can guess what she hoped for when she came here. However, it is not my problem to deal with.'

Grey took a deep breath before looking at the preliminary design for a tier 2 Magic Ring.

'I have to figure out how Prince Alexander Wilhelm Arin was able to do that to his magic arrow.'

Grey was thinking about something he saw during the final moments of the battle, when the [One Arrow Killing A Thousand] was hunting down Ruhenese people.

Something Grey could not explain had happened, a Ruhenese soldier had tried to use an Arinese soldier as a hostage in other to save her life.

The soldier had been hoping that the arrow would not shoot through an Arinese person to kill her, but something unexpected had had happened.

The arrow had shot through the Arinese male soldier and also through the Ruhenese female soldier, however the one who had died with a giant hole on their chest was the female Ruhenese soldier.

That meant that the arrow had passed through the body of the Arinese soldier but did not do any damage but did damage to the enemy, like it was sort of game when team damage was turned off.

'The ability to make a Casting Interruption Activation lies in that ability. I believe the Prince had some how put his consciousness into his magic to allow it to prevent it from killing the Arinese soldier. As crazy as it sounds it is the most likely.'

In the magic that Grey has used thus far, a mage just uses his mana to control the elements and launches the spell.

It does not happen that it is possible to actively manipulate the spell, like choosing who the spell should target after it has been launched.

It was like a bullet having being fired from a gun, it is impossible to chose who it hurts after it leaves the chamber.

It is only special spells like Grey's guided missile spells that can do something similar, and that can only be considered crude.

This is because from what the Prince had demonstrated was that a person can launch a fire type spell on a group on people and designate who is to be burned by the spell.

The only thing to be careful about, would be things like shockwaves created by the explosion of the spell as that is not something directly related to the spell.

'If I am somehow able to inject my consciousness in to my magic, with other additions, I should be able to make my Magic Ring have the ability to interrupt people's casting if my magic hits them.'

Grey was very excited, the only thing he had to do was to figure out how to input in consciousness into his magic.
