" I can't believe we've come this far". she thought as remembered, what happened during the competition.
Flashback.
"Let the competition begin".
As the bakers dashed to get their ingredients to work with, Mateo a tall man that has mint color hair, violet eyes, pale skin, pink lip and a scar on his right eye brow stood still for a minute in a daze.
" I wonder what I should make, what about that no too salty ". he mumbled, as he searched his head for what to create as he decided.
" Then that would make a good choice".
Then snapped out of his daze as he left to where the ingredients to be used where kept he grabbed 4 lemon, blueberries, honey and water and returned back to his station.
" Wonder where his going with this".she thought.
He then proceeded to heat water and put in flower petals that was a bluish violet in color on medium heat while the other bakers where sliced or squeezing something and when it started boiling,he turned it off and put it aside to cool.
" Marie was that among the ingredients you brought". she whispered into Marie's ear.
" Definitely not, miss". she whispered back, then went back to her position.
"Improvising, that's impressive". she thought, as she looked at the contestants.
As he poured it in a plastic egg tray and put it in a freezing device at put a lever to the highest.
" Mr Jacob, what's that thing that he just pull".
" It's a freezing machine, the higher you go the more it gets colder". he explained to her
" That's really nice, thank you". she said
" No problem". he answered
Then he cut the lemons in halves and squeezed out the juice through a strained, then put in a little honey and mixed it together while mixing with 3 minutes left the other contestants where putting the finishing touches on, he removed the blue colored ice from the tray.
" The time will elapse in 10 seconds". she spoken as she counted down.
Put it the lemon and honey mixture with few seconds left he topped it off with blueberries while the some contestants were nervous for him while other smirked at his misfortune in spite of that he put the finishing touches just in time .
" 4....3....2.....1 times up, everyone take a step back from you stations". she spoken as she stood up and surveyed their creations.
" That's really pretty". she said, as everyone looked at Mateo drink that had this yellow purplish gradient with blue Ice and blueberries on top wondering how he achieved it.
" It turned way better than I thought it would". she said, as she stared at it.
She and Marie tested their drinks, as their evaluated the drinks with the criteria, as the contestants waited for the results in another room nervously.
" Even if I don't go to the next round at least, I got a chance to try". A female elf aurelia spoke.
" Yeah".
" Me too". they said
" I honestly think Mateo will win his drink looked so pretty and I'm sure tastes great to".one of the contestants spoken with delightedly, as someone rudely interrupted.
" Do you think, he can win with that garbage everyone knows that the classics are always preferred". he spoke with a smug look on his face.
" But the judge said that she doesn't mind as long as its done right". someone countered.
" She just said that to humour you guys and to make it seem that's what she wants, so she can test you". he said, as looked down on the person who spoke.
" Really, I just did everything that went against that". someone said in shock.
" That makes sense".
" I wish I knew". They complained as they started panicking.
" Maybe he said that to throw you guys off". Another spoke.
" Why would I do that when I used to work for colton".he said, as he lied through his teeth.
" wow".
" Did he just say colton".
" if that's true then he wouldn't lie, since people who are hired there are highly skilled". someone resorted to saying.
" of course, I wouldn't". he said with arrogance and pride.
They continued bickering back and forward until Marie went to call them that the results where ready to be announced, as they followed her to where she was.
"Firstly, before I announce the results I would like to thank everyone for coming and for contributing to such amazing creations". he spoke with gratitude.
" Now I'll announce the results".she said, as she looked at them and stopped to give a moment of suspense.
"Congratulations Mateo, you won with 12 points honestly your creation taste refreshing, its perfect to cum the summer heat and not to mention the beautiful presentation as promised it will be introduced in our menu ".she said with a bright expression as she clapped with the others around him.
" Thank you". he spoke with gratitude.
" This can't be". someone mumbled in the corner as he was filled with fiery rage.
"And after this round three people will be going home liam,Tina, James you've been eliminated, thank you for coming please exist the building".
After the 3 contestants were eliminated and escorted out of the building, the remaining ones where given a few minutes break before the next round.
" Wow is it just me or does that guy looks like he's about to explode". she whispered to Marie as she looked his way.
" He looks like a rojo pez globo , my lady". she replied, with a dead serious face as she nodded to further confirm her thought.
" I don't know what that means but it doesn't sound good". she thought, as she gave Marie two thumbs up as she stood up and walked towards the contestants to make an announcement.
" The next round will begin in 3... 2.... 1".
As Aurelia(lush blue hair, sparkling pink eyes, sharp features and red lips) the round started decided on what to make and then picked out butter, salt, flour and cold water, raspberry, raspberries, a lemon and sugar.She mixed in the butter little by little until it fully incorporated into the flour then took it out sprinkled some flour on the board and kneaded into a ball and rolled it out then she folded it into rectangles and put it into the freezing machine to the highest for a few minutes.
" If it isn't done properly, I may have to start over, I just don't have that time, okay this should be enough".she mumbled as she wiped the sweat from her forehead.
While on Mateo his side he proceeded to combining his ingredients in a bowl to the right consistency to make his dough, then he kneaded the dough on a flour surface lightly for seconds and then created a well in the middle then add milk and stirred then slightly folded in the blueberry.
"That was really hard work, but very rewarding who are my kidding that was just hard, my muscles feel sore". he thought as he stopped folding in the blueberries and rubbed his arm.
He made it into a circular shape and then cut it into triangles then put in a baking pan and let it bake for 20 minutes and then decide to make frosting for his scone.
As auleria dough was freezing, she heated the raspberries and lemon juice in a pan over medium heat for 5 minutes to a certain thickness and strained the sauce and left it to cool.
She took dough for the freezing machine and cut it into strips to make a cone shape and put it into the oven for 15 minutes then she grabbed egg whites and beat it add sugar little by little at a time until it formed stiff peaks and proceeded to add the raspberry sauce and put it into the freezer while Mateo was taking out his scone from the oven, then he and his follow contestants heard this announcement.
" Four minutes left".
As Mateo and aurelia hurried to find a way to make their pastries they just took out of the oven to cool down fast and their both placed their creamy substance on top of their pastries before the time ran out.
" Times up, everyone step from your pastries". she announced with a serious tone, while mateo who had already stepped back proceeded to look around his station when it hit him that he used regular milk instead of buttermilk.
" I hope it turns out right". he thought, as he looked dejected and started panicking hoping for the worse.
As the contestants step aside as marie and her lady proceeded to judge, they were very pleased at some and disappointed at others like how you eat some good and completely spoil it by eating something bad.
" um, this is so tasty". marie said as her eyes lit up.
" It's really good". she said, as they both came to an agreement who should win.
"Before I announce the results for the second round, I would like to say we are very pleased especially with four of this contestants which are Aurelia, Mateo, Wyatt and damien". she spoke to the four of them.
" Each one of your creations were good and you really impressed me especially Wyatt since this round, you actually put in effort and went out of your comfort zone that really payed off". she spoke with a proud smile on her face as she admired them in her heart.
" Thank you, miss". Wyatt said, as he became flustered.
" Although at the beginning you acted like a spoiled brat but you taking a step to changing that". she spoke, as she held back her laughter seeing him so flustered.
" Thank you, miss grace". he responded happily.
"But Mr mateo I could tell you put in a wrong ingredient, am I correct". she asked.
" Yes, you are and I am very sorry for not being careful". he said, as he put his head down as he apologized.
" Raise you head". she spoke with a smile.
" It's good that you're reflecting but it's not the end of the world , just be more careful next time". she said, as she gave him a smile that was sending a meaningful message.
"The winner of the second round with 13 points miss Aurelia". she announced as aurelia stood their in shock not knowing how to respond.
"Congratulations on winning this round your creation was truly astounding".
The third started with damien deciding to bake a coconut cake, he gathered everything needed and whisked the dry ingredients together and beated the butter and sugar together until smooth and creamy.
While on aurelia and mateo side, they decide to make a vanilla and strawberry cake respectively. They got on to working on their cakes their each prepared their batter and put it the oven when was ready, it was taken out and the frost made was used to decorate the cake. Damien cake was coconut flavored white and pink gradient colored cake with butterflies on top
Flashback over
" The winner of the last and final round damien( 15, points) , along with aurelia and mateo will be the ones to work with me as long as they agree".
" Thank you, all for coming and participating in this competition ".
"No way". someone mumbled.
" Expect these three please exist the building". she spoke as she gestured to the door.
" NO WAY, this must be rigged". someone said in an outburst while he walked to her and almost hit her in the face as everyone braised themselves for the worst only for her to hold his hand and squeezed it tightly.
" Rigged you say". she said, as she released a cold aura her face became deadly serious.
" Of course, it's rigged otherwise I would have won".he spoken whilst in pain in a cocky tone.
" How are you so sure". She spoke as she released his hand and sat down as she tapped the table with her fingers.
" I've won so many awards and served so many nobles with this, so are you saying you know better then them".
"What's your name again and your desserts" she spoke as she wanted to address the issues to give her a good image.
" Kevin ". he said, as he stormed off to where his dishes were placed.
" Oh those". she spoke as she looked at the desserts in his hand.
" Of course, they are top class".
" You know your starting to annoy me, your creation were good but in terms of originality, design and taste which are the craterias of judging this competition the others were far more superior and for the nobles and awards that you won are valid since you're good but specifically in this competition you really aren't the best". she spoke calmly.
" No, I'm supposed to win you only said that to humour them". he said, as he looked shocked that she was kidding".
"You know I don't mind arrogance, if you have the ability to back it up but if you don't then it's nothing, thank you now leave". she said coldly as she looked down on him held her dress and turned around.
" If it's not rigged, then how did that demon boy that should be treated less than animal won".
"Through his skills, of course". she spoke as she turned around.
" This just proves my point his your lover isn't he, you look like a lady who already has a finance and is doing this shameless". he spoke with a sinister smile on his face.
"No wonder, she protected him".
" That makes sense".
"I thought she was a gracious lady turns out I was wrong".
" I'm glad, I was eliminated I couldn't think of working for sure a disgrace".they whispered words of mockery.
" That isn't true". damien tried to defend himself.
" How dare you". marie said, but was cut off.
" pfft, this is alot more fun than I thought it would be, go on". she said , with a playful smile on her face.
" What did you say". he said, not only him but everyone around him was dumbfounded.
" I said go on or are you stomped because you expected me to react differently, well sorry to disappoint". she spoke with a mocking tone..
" This isn't supposed to happen, you're supposed to be embarrassed and scared about your reputation being ruined". he said panicking.
" You seem like expert on this but one thing you didn't expect was that, I don't care about my reputation after all in a few hundred years it wouldn't matter because who ever writes history might twist it to their liking that a devil can become an angel and you act ".
"Even if you're right, hiring him might hinder your business as demons are seen as traitorous creatures ". he spoke.
" You finally said something reasonable,I know and I'm willing to take that risk and I also want to clear up your hypocrisy, you act like our ancestors didn't hunt magic beasts for their personal gain or are you ready to pay for their sins and be treated less than animals". she spoken smoothly with an hitch as excited surveyed their reaction asthe environment grew colder and more chilly.
" ...... ". everyone remained silent.
" What happened you were talking so excitedly but now you're quiet so you don't have the right to talk and like I said before watch your tongue if you don't want it or your headed to come off".she spoke with an eerily smile on her face.
"Now everyone except those three leave". As she released an oppressive pressure as the eliminated contestants took to their heels and ran away.
