Chapter 9 - Ch 9

" So what can I do to stop it".

She spoke as tried to calm herself down as she was so close to strangling this annoyingly smiling man in front of her.

" What's in it for me if I help ?".

" And here I thought I had a loyal magic beast, I was duped".

She thought inwardly while maintaining a business smile.

" What do you suggest".

She said as she resulted to deal with the situation with what she knew was the best money.

" I want an ice crystal".

" Then I might as well die".

she spoke in a loud outburst after hearing the request.

" Is my request too much".

" Are you seriously asking me that"?

" This bastard, do you know how rare ice crystals are they only form at the top of Monica mountain everyone one hundred years that isn't even the problem, the problem is the moneria mountain is located in Chardin territory the shadow of empire also the marble sworn enemy, ".she thought.

" How do you expect me the daughter of their sworn enemy to get into their territory".

" I can't just be like 'hey I'm sorry for whatever happened between our families, can we just forgive and forget also I would like access to your mountain to your most prized possession which only comes once every hundred years, is that okay.

She demonstrated to the man sitting there just not doing anything about it.

" So how is that, my problem".

"Ah, seems like you forgot let me refresh your memory remember when the first head and her mysterious dazzling white head friend with emerald eyes which is you by the way angered the Chardin family so badly that the reason was erased from HISTORY".

" That each generation has made sure to keep up the family tradition that the two families have to be at least 200 FEET away from each at all TIMES, so how isn't your problem".

She stated in front of Boreas who was staring at the floor trying to avoid eye contact.

" Why is it I got him while other transmigrators get loyal, cute or overall op magic creatures and I got this, I want a refund, ".she thought in her head.

" At least, do something to help me cultivate because right now I'm not strong enough to go head to head with the Chardin household".

" *Sigh* Let's sign a contract for now I help you and when you get stronger you'll get me my ice crystals". He said as he give in since it was partially his fault

" I'll take what I get". She grinned widely.

She then proceeded to get a magic contract for her storage space to which they both signed and dropped a little blood to seal it.

" Let's begin". He stated.

" Where do we start".

" We have to get you a magic cord".

"I thought you had to be born with one and no other way".

" There is always a way, take my hand".he spoke as she flashed his pretty smile.

She was a bit skeptical considering how this guy's personality is so unreadable one moment he's sad, happy, sulking, nostalgic, and the next his cunning.

There went back into his realm as time moves faster there, 2 hours here could be 1 month there.

He lead her to the waterfall which was connected to spring to which told her to get in and she did in her light dress, then he added various colored liquids some of which she recognized from books she bought about alchemy, and others she didn't recognize.

" Now for a heads up, it's going to be excruciating painful like bone-breaking and being set on fire kind of painful and you can't come out unless it stops bubbling".

" I understand, please proceed".

She reassured her as she recited a spell and directed some of his mana into the spring which was beautiful like light blue glitter falling from the sky too bad Elizabeth's eyes were tightly closed as she braised herself for pain.

As soon as he finished reciting his spelling the water started bubbling up

and heating up, then little orbs started forcing them into her body at a rapid pace, at first the pain level was like a sting and then gradually built its way to be pierced by several needles and being burnt alive.

" I have to admit his way of describing pain is terrifyingly accurate".

She thought while trying to hold on as she submerged herself into the water even she felt like she was being reborn as the sun but also as fire, she stayed in that state for 2 weeks before the water stopped bubbling.

Relieved at it finally come to a halt she passed out due to exhaustion and entered a dream-like coma, where she watched memories of Bedelia the first head but when she woke up. She couldn't remember a thing.

" What time is it".

She got up stretched feeling refreshed and looked at the surroundings looking for a clock but was answered by boreas.

" Exactly 2 pm". He replied as he handed a glass of water.

" That's good, I didn't sleep that long".

" No, you exactly two months but whatever".

" TWO months seriously that's a.

... new record".she mumbled

" Now that your magic core has formed, let's get to training".

" Okay".

She left the realm to talk to Marie about the construction of the shop which was done and informed her on what to do and told her to not let anyone in her room for two weeks then she changed her clothes and grabbed some other clothes and went back.

She started training which consisted of mana gathering at first she wasn't comfortable with the feeling of mana inside her but soon became better, she was put under harsh training and learned how to imbed mana to several weapons.

By the time two weeks were over which was about 14 years in the realm which she trained every day while eating and getting proper sleep.

She was around level 21 and could spar with the marboul knights and keep up but that wasn't what she was going for.

" Boreas, I've been meaning to ask but are there any more levels than stated in the book".

" There are but no one's ever been able to reach that far".

" What about the first emperor".

" Of course, he couldn't he wasn't talented with magic at all the only reason why his children and descendants after him are good is that the first empress was extremely talented with magic she came from a family of mages ".

" Which by the way was exterminated by a 'so-called' disease".

" The first emperor wiped them out considering they were a family of mages they must have had a lot of influence and power which was a threat to the throne".

" I think even a fool could tell back then".
