I wiped the sweat from my brow, looking at the bottles of vodka on the nightstand. After bandaging Leonard's wounds, I had covered him up, taking my sleeping magic from him, leaning back into the seat. The three brothers had come and gone from the room while I had done my tasks. Yazoo always brings food. Kadaj would come to check on Leonard as well as Loz. I retrieved one bottle of vodka from the table with a sigh, placing it back on the table. The soft clicking of the door caused me to look back, seeing Yazoo. "Dinner is ready. Come and get you something to eat, he'll be fine."
I stood up from the chair, walking to the door, following the teen from the room. Once we were downstairs, I looked at the three brothers. "How long has Leonard gone like this without sleep? Has he eaten anything since the divorce?"
"We don't know. We just came back yesterday. Tifa had asked us to give him some time to himself."
I looked at Kadaj, who placed his fork on the uneaten plate. He looked at Yazoo. "He stayed with you last night. Did he tell you anything?"
Yazoo looked at him. "No, I've told you all that he shared with me. He came into my room this morning, and he just said he needed some help. He went to sleep once I gave him some comfortable clothes to put on, and I made him some tea."
"Why would he need your clothes? Zoo?"
"He came to me dressed in his day clothes. He seemed depressed, so I helped him. Did you want me to send him back to his room and let him stay miserable, Loz? You act like I sinned giving him some clothes, and you Kadaj, you seem to think that I'm hiding things from everyone. Why don't the two of you tell me what you think?" He leaned back in the chair with a sigh. "As if the accusations aren't clear enough."
I looked at the brothers, my focus mainly on Loz and Kadaj. "You want to point the finger at Yazoo, Kadaj? Why didn't you help him then? You as well Loz, since you want to side with Kadaj, you want to condemn Yazoo for helping a man that had taken the three of you in and sheltered you, someone who has been like a father figure to you. Don't point the finger when you two were comfortably sleeping in your beds." I glared at two of them. Folding my arms over my breast. Kadaj and Loz looked at me. "You two are a real handful, just a friendly warning to you both. You may be spawns of my father but come in my path of Leonard and myself finding happiness, you will be punished. Note I have warned you." I looked at Yazoo. "You have nothing to atone for, keep it that way." I turned on my heels. "I'm going back in here with Leonard. I will keep a close ear on the three of you." I walked from the room. I got back to Yazoo's room as the sound of covering ruffling brought my attention to Leonard, who was getting into a sitting position. I walked over to him, sitting on the bed beside him, as he looked at me.
"I thought it was a dream when I saw you here earlier."
"No, not a dream. How did you sleep?"
"I slept well, thank you. I know you have done your part in that."
I looked at him, placing my hand on his. "You should eat something. Yazoo prepared dinner. Perhaps you should get something. And that isn't a request. You're going to eat."
He looked at me with a smile. "Where's Kourtney?"
"I sent her to play outside when I got here earlier. Now go get you something to eat."
"Fine."
He stood up; I got his shirt that Yazoo left earlier; he put it on as the two of us walked from the room. Once we got to the kitchen, the brothers sat at the table. The three of them looking at Leonard smiles came to their lips as he sat down. "Something smells good. Is there any more left?" Leonard looked at the brothers with a smile of his own.
"Yeah, I made enough for everyone." Yazoo stood up and made two plates. Once he was done, he set the plates in front of Leonard and me. Taking his seat. I looked at Leonard, who started eating the food from his plate, as the brothers started eating their food. I picked up my fork and started eating as well.
