I watched the fight going on between Grace and her brother. I leaned against the tree behind me, bored. Grace insisted that I sit this one out. I knew she could easily handle the brothers. That didn't concern me at all. The thoughts of battle going on and me having to sit and watch bored me to tears. Being front row for this was eh, to say the least. Considering that I was the only audience for this fight, it was, however, a blast watching the four siblings go at it in hand-to-hand combat after the four of them not being in the same home for a month, to be honest, the entertainment was more therapeutic than anything else. Kadaj and Loz held their own against their older sister and their middle brother. Likewise, considering who Grace was fighting against, she wasn't doing that bad. The woman to who I gave my last name, who had given birth to my child, was more than an angel to me. She was my protector, hence why I call her angel. She might be able to eliminate the threat that her father brought in his wake, without the help of the group of heroes to the city of Midgar Edge. I focused back on the scene before me. The fight had been going on between the four for a while. No one was winning or losing, which was good for my wager in the bet between Yazoo and myself. The group looked at one another. "Alright, boys, I think that's enough." I heard as Grace stated.
I looked at her. "Let's go home and get cleaned up." She walked over to me. "Sorry, you had to sit that one out, love. It was for your benefit, considering your injuries."
I grinned at her. "You're funny, angel. My injuries wouldn't have held me back. I don't think you four could have kept up."
"You probably are rusty, love." I kissed her lips as she smiled. "Come on." She looked at me." We're going home. I want a shower and Kourtney is probably feeling that Vincent has adopted her. I feel that man tires of watching her all the time."
I laughed. "Not a chance. He probably enjoys the company. Besides, I know him well enough to know that if he wasn't supportive of something, we would be the first to know. So far, he has mentioned nothing, so keeping her away would probably be a chaotic thing to do."
Yazoo got over to us, extending his hand to Grace, who looked at him, shaking his hand. "Well played match, you kept up better than I thought you would. To be honest, I thought I would have to carry us both in this match."
Graceona laughed. "You carry me through a match. That was funny. Now I know why I like you a little. Your tall mundane, emo, self has a great sense of humor. You're a riot when you want to be." She walked away from us, laughing.
I looked at Yazoo, holding in my laughter. "You did well, Yazoo. Our bet sadly ends on a draw."
He looked at me, getting a quarter out of his pocket. "Heads says I give up my books for one week, tails say you pick up the habit of reading. You want to place your luck in a quarter?"
"Oh, yeah. Do it." I grinned as he flipped the coin, catching it. "Ouch, tough luck. Looks like you better be finding yourself a new hobby for the next week."
Yazoo sighed and looked at me. "I have plenty of hobbies, Leonard. Reading just gets me away from Kadaj and Loz. I can find other ways to amuse myself."
I looked at him. "Fighting in the streets isn't an option."
He grinned. "That wasn't a part of the deal, so sorry, you have zero control over that hobby. You didn't specify any other hobby, just my reading."
"Nice loophole. My hands are tied, carry on." I walked away from him as he soon followed along behind me.
The five of us returned home, Loz returned to the television, Kadaj went upstairs, as Grace stood on the porch. I walked inside the home with Yazoo, who walked to the kitchen. "I need to go pick up Kourtney and visit with Vincent. I'll be back later, Grace." I left the home.
