"Get your hands off of her," I said, bloodlust growing by the minute. The Elvan leader held Frons in his arms as he looked at me with a smug smile. I wanted to wipe the smile off of the bastard's face, but I would risk the life of my guardian if I made a move.
"Ma...Master, don't wor.." Frons struggled to talk, but the Elvan man choked her harder. My knuckles went white as I gripped my sword tighter.
"You call this little one master. How interesting." The elvan man spoke as he examined me. I was about to start talking when a loud roar cut me off.
"Little Elv! Stop hiding behind your pathetic minions and face me." The bear roared in anger.
"Hmm.. if you'll excuse me, little devil." The man said as he tossed Frons to me. This was my first time releasing that the man was speaking the devil's tongue. I didn't have time to think about that as I caught Frons in my arms.
"Breeze, keep our friends company." The Elvan commander said before disappearing. I turn to find another Elvan leader smiling at me. He was the man Frons had been fighting with before.
"Master, I'll handle him. You should help the bear." Frons coughed. I gave the woman a kiss on the forehead. The man named Breeze started to move. (Black hand!) I thought as I turned to the charging man. Dozens of black hands wrapped around the man's body, stopping him in his tracks.
"You think this will stop me." Breeze laughed as he began to break some of the hands. The backlash hurt a little, but I was used to the pain.
"Shadow!" I shouted from the shadows. The panther leaped behind the trapped Elvan. The cat sunk his teeth into the man's neck, killing him almost instantly. I was glad I had little Shadow in hiding.
"Are you okay?" I asked my guardian. She was covered in minor wounds, but none seemed fatal. She shook her head before looking in the direction of the bear. The leader of the Elvan army commander was playing with the injured bear. The man was easily dodging every swipe the bear made.
"Master, you have to run. Well, buy you some time." Frons demanded as she got to her feet. I smiled at the woman before petting her head.
"Have you lost faith in your Queen? You go and help the others I be sure to come find you when I'm done." I said confidentiality.
"Will you be okay, Master?" Frons asked. I could see the fear in her eyes. I understood her feelings. The man I'd be facing would be my most formidable opponent yet. I didn't have confidence in beating the Elvan commander, but I had to try. I couldn't let my people sacrifice themselves for me. If I did that, I would be no better than the priests I hated so much.
"Have I let you down yet!" I said, putting on a brave face. Frons stared at me long before running towards Canis and the others. With her gone, I was finally focused on my opponent.
I watched as peak layer eight Elvan toyed with the bear. He was easily dodging the paw swipes with a big smile. ( Arrogant A******) I thought as I summoned a long black spear. I was going to wipe that smug look off the man's face.
I held my spear waiting for the right time. (Now!) I thought right as the Elvan leader finished evading another bear swipe. My spear sailed through the air and aimed for the man's head. He turned to smile as his hand lazily went up to block my attack.
Bang!
The spear collided with the man, who was now struggling with two hands. He cast away my attack with a little effort putting a smile on my face. The cocky bastard had thought my void spear would be quickly dealt with, but the joke was on him.
"What a surprise! Now I'm even more interested in you. A demon who can wield the void!" The man laughed. I gave a little chuckle as well as the bear swiped again.
Bang!
The bear's attack finally landed this time, sending the Elvan warrior crashing through the earth. I wasted no time in sending multiple black spears his way.
Bang Bang.
My attacks hit where I thought the man was, creating a huge dust cloud. My instincts told me that that wasn't the end of the fight, and they were right. Before I knew it, the grey-skinned man was before me, preparing to strike with his fist. My sword moves independently, missing the man's fist and going straight for his neck. He leaned back, barely dodging my blow and passing by me. Lucky for me, my attack had caused him to miss his own move. I turned around, readying myself for another attack. I was shocked to see Elvan standing there, looking at me intently.
"It has been a while since I faced anyone of such talent. What is your name, young demon? They call me Lite, captain of the royal guard." The man introduced himself as he took his stance. I was surprised that the Elvan, known as Lite, could speak the demon language. He had been talking in the devil's tongue since he met me. He also realized that I was a demon and not fully human.
"My name is Gora Hydra, Queen of the beast glades. How can you speak my language?" I asked, pointing my sword at him.
"I fought plenty of your kind before. I just picked up a few things." Lite chuckled with a sinister smile. (Pick up a few things, my ass.) I thought. The Elvan spoke the devil's tongue with great punctuation. He had learned more than just a few words.
"Although I wasn't fully sure you were a demon. You seemed to be a half-breed, mostly your half-Elvan. Don't tell me your... hahaha." The man began to cackle. (Half Elvan?) Impossible, I thought. I was told that my mother was human.
"Mother must be pleased with her servant. To think she would bring me such a gift." Lite continued to laugh as he looked into the sky. He was starting to make less and less sense as time went on. Who was this mother he spoke of, and why does he think I'm half Elvan? I had so many questions. I began to talk when I felt the ground shake behind me. I turned to see the bear charging forward, passing right by me.
"Enough talk, monster time for you and your kind to die!" The bear roared in anger as she rushed Lite. He dodged the bear's swipe smile as his eyes met mine.
"Just wait for me daughter of Nova! I'll play with you when I'm done with this teddy bear. Hahahahah!" The Dark Elvans word caused my eyes to bulge from shock. (How the hell does he know my mother's name? Who is this man?) I thought in utter confusion.
(I need answers!) I thought as I charged in. The bear was in the middle of attacking when I jumped in. Lite had just dodged when my sword sailed passed his face. He reacted to my attack in seconds, but I left a shallow cut on his face. I felt the ground shake as the bear stomped with its large paw.
Bang!
The Shockwave caused me to cover my eyes as debris flew my way. When the dust cleared, I saw Lite smiling as he blocked the bear's move. I rushed in while the Elvan man was busy holding off the beast. The cocky smirk on his face grew wider as he stretched out his other hand.
Sparks of lightning danced on his fingertips before shooting out toward me. I moved instantly, not even before the lighting left his hands. I faced many lighting users in my old life. I hated fighting the cowardly bastards. Lighting users only use hit-and-run tactics with speed as the primary weapon. They were tricky opponents, but they also had a flaw. Accuracy. Lighting users need help controlling their long-range attacks because they are too fast.
"Ah!" I grunted as I dove to the right, rolling to my feet. I charged directly at Lite, who was still hurling lightning bolts at me. I weaved left and right, evading every attack by the skin of my teeth. In seconds I was inches away from Lite. He let go of the bear, but it was already too late.
Slash.
I felt my blade bite into something as Lite disappeared. I look up to see the bear's paw stop above me. I breathe a sigh of relief at the bear's mercy. But I didn't have time to relax. I looked around, seeing Lite. He was a few feet away. The man was holding his side in pain. (Gotcha!) I thought as I stood up.
"Human, I'm ashamed to say this, but I can't defeat him alone. For my revenge, I must swallow my pride." The bear said as we both stared at the stunned Elvan.
"I don't think I can beat without you either. My names Gora. Since we're temporary comrade I figured you should know my name." I said as I prepared myself for Lites next move.
"My name is Burr. Get ready.. comrade." Burr said before letting out a mighty Roar.
"Where did you get that sword, spawn of Nova?" Lite said with anger. I didn't know how he knew my mother's name, but I didn't think he would just tell me. (I would have to beat the answers out of him.)
Burr rushed in, shaking the earth with every step. I followed close behind. The bear swung her massive pawn sending white claw marks toward the wounded Elvan. I got ready to cast a void blade. As soon as he dodged, I launched the void blade straight in his direction. Lite reappeared only to find my black sword in his face. He had no choice but to block. Although it didn't do much damage, it served its purpose.
Bang!
Burr slammed her paw into the man's chest, sending him flying. He recovered quickly, but I was there to meet him. I brought my sword down, aiming to cut his head in half.
"Enough!" Lite shouted as his hand caught my blade. He then sent lighting bolts stopping Burr's charge. My sword cut Elvan's hand, but he still wrapped it around my weapon. Before I could react, my feet left the ground.
Bang!
My body hit the ground as Lite slammed me. All the air evacuated my body, and I coughed up blood. Pain erupted in me. If I could, I would have screamed in agony. Luckily Burr had recovered and was headed our way. She launched a couple of claws made out of ki. It took everything in me to summon black hands to stop Lite's movement. I knew they wouldn't stop him for long, however.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Lighting struck the battlefield stopping the ki claws. I struggled to get up. (Nows my chance.) I thought as I stared at the back of Lite.
"You are a real pest, just like your mother," Lite said as he looked down at me. I swung my sword as fast as I could.
Slice!
My arm hit the ground and detached from my body. I didn't even see Lite's attack. It was so fast. The served limb was still clutching my sword. For a long moment, I just stared hopelessly at the scene. Then the pain came.
"Ahhhh!" I screamed in pure agony. I held my mutilated limb as I rolled on the ground. I tried to fight through the pain but too much. I commanded my mana to my right arm, desperately trying to stop the bleeding. Then Lite grabbed my hair, yanking my head up so that I was now looking directly at him.
"To think you can still think straight after losing limb. I seen many men lose their mind after losing a finger. You sure are a strange one." Lite said as thunder roared above us.
Boom!
A massive lightning bolt struck the ground behind him, shaking the ground. I heard a shriek and guessed it came from Burr.
"OH! What's this. Your little followers are coming." Lite said. I panicked, and I struggled to make the Elvan release me. If Frons and Canis came, I knew they wouldn't last long.
"Still got some fight in you, hahaha. I going to have fun playing with you. You should be happy, your going to be the only one to survive today. You'll even get to meet our king." Lite said with an evil grin as he released me. I summoned my Ki and planned to attack but was stopped.
Bang.
All the air in my lungs left me as Elvan kicked me in the stomach. I was sent flying into the enemy's tents. Braking most of them before coming to a stop on the ground. Blood dripped from my lips, and I tried my best to move. My ribs ache every time I try to move. My vision blurred, and I felt my consciousness waning. (I have to move. I can't stay here.) I thought, but my body refused to listen to me.
"Frons, Canis. Run!" I said softly before I blacked out.
