Crook!
Crook!
Kira woke up to the sound of the door being open.
"Good afternoon," a lady dressed in a maid uniform greeted as she entered the room.
"Hi," Kira mumbled. "When can I leave?" She asked in a meek whisper.
"You should eat something and you need a bath." The lady mumbled to her self, "Come with me." She told Kira as she turned on her heels.
Shuffling to her feet, she followed the lady down the cold corridor than up a flight of stairs.
"Where are you taking me?" Kira asked but the maid remained silent.
Kira could see everything now, from the walls to the window to the glass, all looked like a magnificent work of art.
The white, marble floor beneath her feet that seems to stretch out for miles and the enormous chandelier that welcomed her dangled elegantly from the high ceiling. The hallway had large and beautiful mold panels which looked very expensive but tasteful.
As she walked through, she also saw small receiving rooms, that must have been rooms where people waited when they came to visit. Kira was sure that this interior was definitely like those small ancient chateus, the kind of dwelling one expected to see in Europe. She could even bet that this house was built in the 1900's or possibly even earlier than that.
As the maid led her further inside the hallway open up to a larger space, with a large staircase in the center of it. The white marble steps, the bronze handrails on either side as it swept grandly towards the upper floor, made Kira gape. She even started envisioning men in tailcoats and women in evening gowns, walking up and down those stairs.
But it didn't stop there. There was another gigantic chandelier of an incredible vast scale, far prettier than the first one she saw. There was also a gigantic fireplace on one side with exquisite marble mantle and mirrored panels.
Kira had never seen extravagance like this. This place was built with money and prestige and the fact that everything was still in a magnificent state. Despite its age.
She had read about places like this but she thought these places didn't exist anymore in this millennia. She felt like she was suddenly transported back to hundreds of years.
She was utterly impressed. She thought she would only see place as beautiful like this in her imagination.
The maid led her towards the grand staircase, which led to the second floor.
As expected, it was even more breathtaking than the ground floor. What she saw was another large, and fancy space. Velvet curtains were tied back to let the sunshine through the windows and she saw antique, looking brass candelebras. Which hung from the walls in between the windows, they each held three candles and she wondered if those candles had ever been lit. As soon as she saw this area, she immediately thought this room would be where grand balls were held.
"Where are we going?" Kira asked as they continued up the stairs and up the third floor. Again she was met with silence.
She was met with a large open area in the middle, but this was smaller than the second floor. It seemed to be the lounge area as there was couches and coffee table arranged by the window overlooking the garden area. This seemed to be where the living quarters were located because she saw doors on each side.
The maid stopped in front a tall, double doors and pushed it open. The room she walked into was so beautiful and welcoming. But before Kira could enjoyed the ganduer and elegance the maid spoke.
"Your clothes are already prepared for your shower, someone will be here when lunch is ready."
"When can I go home?" Kira asked.
"When the master decide," She answered before she turned and left the room.
Frantically Kira searched for her phone when she realized it was missing.
Ugh!!
She groaned as she searched the room, hoping that there might be a phone, but there wasn't any. Without wasting anymore time, Kira quickly sauntered to the bathroom and the sight before her dazzled her.
The bathroom was luxurious, stripping from her clothes Kira took a well needed shower. Soon after she was in jeans and a cotton sweatshirt, while her hair was in a messy bun.
As she was lost in thoughts, kira's stomach suddenly growled. She looked at the clock and saw that it was already lunchtime, just then a maid knocked on her door.
"Good day, miss. I'm here to let you know that lunch is ready." A polite woman in her early twenties bowed at her.
"Okay," Kira nodded and followed her down the stairs.
Kira was brought to another enormous hall which was the dining hall. But what she wasn't expecting was a long dining table that could sit about 20 people on each side. The table was made of wood, sealed, varnished, and had shining bronze candelebras with thin long candles. There was another chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
Kira tried to eat as much as she could to show some respect to the cook. It was delicious yes, but she found it hard to enjoy it, especially when she's being held against her will.
After Kira had eaten she was led to the sofa in the sitting room. After some time, Kira finally heard some noise coming from the grand staircase.
And then, Jason appeared. He was wearing dark toned trousers and a simple white shirt. His hair was tousled and he looked like he just woke up.
His green hazel eyes studied her as he looked down on her.
Kira's heart raced wildly the instant she saw him. He wasn't wearing a suit but he was so breathtaking. He had this aura about him that made him incredibly mesmerizing.
The man's shoulder dropped as he ran his fingers through his hair before putting his hands inside his pocket. He walked elegantly towards her.
Jason moved closer to her, so close that their nose were almost touching. Kira tried her best not to close her eyes or look away. She wanted to show him she wasn't afraid and she was sure he was only doing it to get a reaction from her.
She wouldn't give him the satisfaction of looking away or cowered.
"When can I leave?" Kira asked.
Jason lips curved into a smirked with a sinister look on his face. Kira was hit with the sensation of fear so great that she held on the sofa for support as her legs felt like jelly and her hands trembled. A light sheen of sweat broke out along her hairline, she wanted to crumbled down to the floor and cried.
His faced contorted into one of mischief. "This will be your new dwelling."
