Chapter 25 - 25. Good riddance

Faye had just walked through the double doors when someone bumped into her.

"Watch it!" Faye yelled, as she got on her knees to retrieved her books that had fallen.

Faye was about to reached for the last two remaining books when a hand flew out and picked them up.

When Faye stood to her feet her eyes landed on Tyrese. "Here," he handed the book to her.

"Thanks," Faye muttered, taking the books from him.

"So, witchcaft?" Tyrese trailed off. "I never take you for a girl who believed in the supernatural."

Faye wasn't in the mood to argue so instead she just nodded.

"Oh, I think it's cool." Tyrese smiled at her which surprised her.

"I wasn't expecting that," Faye answered.

"Why not?" Tyrese asked.

"I thought guys might find this sort of thing weird." Faye shrugged.

"I'm not like other guys," Tyrese stated  with a frown.

Faye only nodded as she continued down the corridor with Tyrese next to her."

"Don't you have a class or something?" Faye asked annoyed by the attention she was getting.

"Yeah," Tyrese smiled showing his perfect dimples.

"And just where do you think you're going?" Faye raised a perfect eyebrow.

"Class," Tyrese answered in a duh tone.

"But this is my class." Faye argued, before walking to an empty seat.

"This is my class also." Tyrese smiled, flopping down at the empty seat next to Faye.

Shortly after, Rebecca entered the room. Her eyes scanning the room for Kira when they landed on Tyrese.

"Tyrese," Rebecca called as she approached him.

"Hey," He smiled at her.

"Have you seen Kira?" Rebecca quickly asked.

"No, why?" Tyrese asked confusedly.

"I haven't seen her so I wonder if you might." Rebecca mumbled.

"No I haven't. Did you guys have a fight?" Tyrese couldn't help but asked.

"No, she said she's staying at a friend's."

"I think she's fine then." Tyrese smiled.

Rebecca nodded when her eyes fell on Faye. I'm so sorry I didn't see you. Hi, I'm Rebecca." She outstretched her hand to Faye for a handshake.

"It's fine, I'm Faye."

"You're the new student?" Rebecca asked.

"Yep, that's me." Faye muttered.

"You should sit with us for lunch." Rebecca suggested but before Faye could get a word out the teacher entered the classroom.

Throughout the lecture Faye could felt eyes burning into the back of her head. But when to turned to meet the person's gaze there was no one.

She was here, Faye could felt it from the bedds of sweat forming on her forehead.

When class ended Faye was the first to leave. "Hey... wait up." Tyrese called, jogging to her. "Is everything alright?"

"I'm fine," Faye answered, looking everywhere but his face.

"Are you still sitting with us at lunch?"

"I'll meet you there." Faye answered with a smile.

"Okay, I'll save you a seat." Tyrese smiled at her before walking off.

Faye turned on her heels and headed to the girl's bathroom, making sure it was empty before she spoke.

"What do you want?"

"Don't trust them... you cannot trust them."

Throughout the day Faye couldn't seem to put her mind at ease. She wanted answers, who was the lady?

"Do you want to hangout?" Tyrese asked when the final bell rang.

"No." Faye answered before pushing the double doors opened where she saw Teresa's car.

Wasting no time Faye hurried to the car and got inside.

"Hey.. you won't believe what I got you.." Teresa was saying when Faye asked.

"What was my mother like?"

"Your mother?" Teresa questioned she would occasionally glanced at Faye.

"Yeah." Faye answered, staring out the window. "You never talk about her, Why?" She switched her eyes to looked at Teresa.

"Your mother was adventurous like yourself." Teresa smiled as if rembering a memory. "She was kind, outspoken, gentle and hopeful. You look a lot like her."

"Why did she betrayed the clan?" Faye couldn't help but asked.

"Power." Teresa answered as she pulled up in her driveway.

Faye nodded as she grabbed her bag and exited the car.

Teresa watched her until she entered the house then she retrieved her cellphone from her bag. And dialed a number that she was familiar with.

"Hello?" Came a husky voice from the other line.

"She's asking about her mother." Teresa said.

"Does she know anything?" The person asked in a panic voice.

"No, not that I'm aware of."

"Keep it that way. I would hate it, if I have to kill." The man threatened before cutting the call.

Lars was having dinner when a maid informed him that his guest had arrived and was waiting in the living room.

"What guest?" Lars asked in anger.

"A young man," the maid replied. "He said you are expecting him.

Lars clenched his jaw as he hastily stood from his chair.

"Is there something wrong?" Lora asked her brother who look murderous.

"Everything is fine," Lars assured her. "Stay here." Lars told her before leaving the room.

"What are you doing here?" Lars asked when he saw Jackson sitting on the sofa.

"I hope I didn't intrude," Jackson said with a knowing look.

"You have no business here." Lars stated.

"Oh, but you see... Kira is missing and your the only person who seem quite taken by her other than myself that is." Jackson declared standing to his feet.

"You think I have the girl?" Lars laughed before his face turned into something deadly.

"Do you have the girl?" Jackson asked with a raised brow.

"Leave..." Lars threatened "Or I'm going to have to make you."

"What is with you and violence?" Jackson sighed.

"You have no business here, vampire." Lars spat. "I am no friend of your kind."

Just then Lora walk into the room. "Brother what is going on?" She looked between Lars and Jackson.

"Your brother here..." Jackson gestured towards Lars. "Have something I want or rather someone."

"Brother?" Lora questioned.

"He talks of the girl, the one you were supposed to eliminate." Lars answered. "The girl is not here."

"Why should I believe you?" Jackson questioned.

"He speaks the truth," Lora answered.

"Now leave and never return." Lars spoke.

"Very well," Jackson mumbled before his lip curled. "But before I go..." Jackson trailed off. "I want your heart."

"Wha..." Lars was saying when Jackson ripped his heart from his chest.

"No!!!" Lora cried as she ran to Lars.

"Good riddance." Jackson mumbled before letting go of Lars black heart.

"Your brother was already dead, it was only a matter of time." He told Lora as he wiped his bloodstained hand.

"Why?" Lora asked as tear rolled down her cheeks.

Jackson grinned. "Why not."

"You are a monster." Lora choked.

"And you will suffer the same fate if you don't find the girl." Jackson whispered against her ears before disappearing with the wind.
