"What... What did you just say?" she asked bewildered.

"Marry me." he repeated.
Maezhei went completely lifeless, before coughing fiercely, again. After finally managing to stop her coughing, she hurriedly looked at Zifan with intensity.
"Please translate!" she mouthed at him asking for help.
However, Zifan was also stunned. He was completely dazed.
"Big bro, what do you mean? You did not just offer her to marry you... right?" Zifan cautiously asked but Zake didn't even bother glancing at him. He was just staring intently at the girl seating on the hospital bed.
"Wait, d-don't tell me you've decided to repay me with your body because I saved Snowy?" Maezhei said falteringly.
Zake inclined his head slightly and thought about it for a while before he nodded, "You could say that."
Maezhei was dumbfounded.
Maybe I was not just shot in my shoulder. I think I hurt my head as well.
"Doctor... where's the doctor? I think I have damaged my head when I fell, I'm having hallucinations..." she held her forehead weakly.
Next to her, Zifan had an innocent expression, "I didn't hit my head, did my brain break down too?"
Maezhei strongly felt like she was in a dream as she looked at the iceberg-like man who had said such shocking words with an expressionless face. She had saved the white tiger, alright, but why is his owner wanted to repay her with his body?! Is he crazy?!

At this very moment, Maezhei simply could not believe the reality after her.

When it comes to looks, she was not bad, but Zake Deguzs? Even the most gorgeous man in the World can't compare to him!!!
If he had only taken a liking to her, or fancied her, that's fine. She would not have been so shocked. If Zake only took her looks into consideration and wanted to play around with her, that's understandable. But he said, "Marry me" which was the most frightening of all!!

"Aren't you gay?" Maezhei blurted out.
"Pfft! Bwahahaha!" Zifan heard her and can't help himself. He laughed until he fell to the ground.
Zake's face became as black as the underside of a pot instantly filling the whole ward with a dark atmosphere.
After who knows how long, Zifan finally managed to hold back his laughter, "Miss Gorgeous, my brother's not gay hahahaha..." he said suppressing his laugh. He didn't mean to laugh but he can't help it.
"Kuya, I told you not to be so workaholic and go out sometimes to have a drink with us. Date someone and get laid! This is why people think you're gay! Pfft." Zifan said, still suppressing his laughter.
Zake looked at his brother with a murderous look on his face.
"Cough, cough, cough..." Zifan was frightened to the point of choking. "What I mean is if... if my brother was really gay and he likes men, then why would he want to repay you with his body?" he said saving his self to his brother's death glares.
"To cover up his true sexual orientation?" Maezhei muttered, her voice uncertain.
"Hahahahaha! Bro, I can't help you anymore..." Zifan blurted then he started laughing again.
Why was this guy laughing? Did he know that this is a very serious talk? - Maezhei said to herself. She can't believe that this was the real Zifan Deguzs... so weirdo.
Zifan was laughing like there's no tomorrow when suddenly, a stormy person slowly rose from his chair, his long slender legs were moving closer to Maezhei with every step.
"Zifan, go out first with Little White..." Zake said while staring straight at Maezhei's eyes.
Maezhei gulped and she suddenly felt very nervous.
"Ah, B-Big bro, what are you going to do?"
Zake slowly fixed the cuff of his sleeve, "To prove my sexual orientation to Miss Dayone." then his hand went to the buttons of his long-sleeved shirt.
Seeing his expression darken, with a gaze which looked as though he wanted to devour her whole, Maezhei was so scared that she fell out of bed. She hid behind Little White Tiger, and almost wanted to hide under the bed.
"M-Mr. D-Deguzs, I-I'm not the one who s-spread that rumor. I just heard it. It has nothing to do with me! Also, you really really really don't need to repay me! Or thank me! It's really okay! But if you really really insist then I request that you don't request me for another request. Ah, sorry... I still have things to do and... m-my friend must be worried about me so, I'm leaving first!"
Maezhei spit out her words quickly and prepared to sneak away.
"I have to go now! We'll just meet again if we were fated to meet, okay? See you!" she hastily finished speaking and was about to escape but after having only taken a few steps, Zake's cold voice came from behind her, "Did I allow you to leave?"
Maezhei was so frightened that her legs began to tremble.
It's over. It's over! My life is over!
After a few seconds, under Maezhei's ready-for-death-gaze, Zake handed over a small sheet of paper and a pen. "Could I trouble Miss Dayone to write her phone number so that I can contact you for your next checkup to prevent from further problems?"
"H-Huh?" she stuttered. His words didn't sink into her.
After a few seconds, his words finally sank in, she replied immediately, "Yes, yes, yes, no problem! I can even write 1000 numbers!" Maezhei heaved a huge sigh of relief and picked up the pen to start writing.
"I will have a driver to take you to Royale Hotel," he stated then he looked at the bodyguard on the side. The bodyguard immediately understood his master and nodded his head then he bowed before leaving the room.
He was not asking her but he was informing her. Originally, Maezhei wanted to refuse but she knows better, he will take no for an answer so, she just nodded.
After she was done writing, she ran off in a frenzy. She was so scared that he might demand something again!
Watching her back leave, Zake had a deep expression, as though he was watching a prey that had already been collared.
And when they cannot see her silhouette's anymore, Zifan immediately move to his brother's side and bounced, "Kuya, am I dreaming? Do you really like Maezhei Dayone? You really fancy her? Love at first sight?" he bombarded his brother questions after another.
"It's been 30 years, and you haven't taken a liking to any girls! But now, finally, you fancied a girl! I also almost believed that you're gay and you really like men!"
When Zake heard the word "gay", he glared at his brother and threw out the words, "Shut up."
Zifan cough, "Y-Yes."
It was his brother's love affair so, he need to know! He was really curious and itchy to know that it's killing him!
