Chapter 4 - Royal Dragon Mammon makes an entrance!

"Hm? Oh my name is--"

BA-THUMP!

A beast as huge as a willow tree and as large as the width of a lake, golden horns on its head and red gleaming eyes that suggested that we should just give up. He had such thin and fragile black wings and a black body with small scales all over, A dragon?! No, it can't be. They've already been hunted and gone extinct.

It's curved toenails pointed at me, almost as if challenging me, My legs gave out! I have to get up again! I need to protect Mama and--!

'What on earth is that?! Weren't the predators here just now? Then how is this beast..? Ah..! I have to test it out now!' my legs trembled as I tried to get up, but it was no use. My instinctive fear gave in, 'HOLY COW! Why is this motherfudger so huge?' I trembled on as the beast loomed over me, I finally knew what it was.

I let out an exasperated gasp, 'We're doomed! Ugh...and just when I was going to have a kid and live with Mama happily ever after.'

"Usagi-Sama..!" when I looked up the human boy had gotten in the way of the dragon's attack and was stabbed instead of me.

They stabbed him as soon as I turned around, I felt a twinge in my heart when I saw his act of friendship. Many questions ran through my head at that moment, I couldn't focus on it at the time. I sighed shakily and furrowed my eyebrows, "What did you say your name was, Human Child?"

"U-usagi-Sama ... Please go, I'll take care--" I patted his cheek and smiled, so not all humans were envious and greedy. I was happy that at least one human child could understand friendship and trust.

"Beast, why did you hurt us? Have we shown you some kind of offense?" I asked him, I waited for his answer, but he immediately fell from heaven and leaned towards me.

"I am the Royal Dragon Mammon, this is my forest, and I protect the life that lies here," he replied with eyes burning with fury.

His silent anger made me feel empathy for the beast. A dragon? But I thought those were just stories, so it seems like ...

"Royal Dragon Mammon, Forgive us for having pierced your dazzling and wonderful forest, We come in peace," I continued, "BUT YOU CAN'T JUST STAB MY KID!!! C'MON I JUST MET HIM AND ADOPTED HIM !@^%!$@#%^$@^#%!!!!!!" I shouted cursing out inaudible words, ahem more like innappropriate ones.

"But how is it that a weak and diminutive Human understands the language of beasts? Human, are you a beast tamer?" He questioned me, I couldn't stop the silent and abrupt noise coming out of my mouth. 'is this called laughter? I believe it is.'

"Dragon, don't you recognize me? I'm Usagi, a forest rabbit, as soon as my family and I were attacked while you resided in the cave, my mother threw me into a crystal lake to save me and I became a human," I explained slowly, wathcing the boy that was still injured.

I walked up to him and looked at him with a pained expression, "Mama...why haven't you talked all this time?" I sighed deeply, I felt useless seeing the human child hurt because of me.

A hot red liquid pulsed through me, I think it was called, "blood." Humans were always afraid of that liquid that came out of their bodies, now I felt how it pulsed through my heart and my entire body.

"Usagi...There's no hope for the human child, We can't help a human or we'll be kicked out of the forest and seen as traitors..." My mother whispered silently, the dragon looked at me for an answer.

I winced in pain as I felt it go through my heart, my heart was broken when I saw him like this. "All humans are born neutral when they are born. Just like beasts they grow up and learn throughout the way, not all humans are educated the same. it all just depends on the path they choose to take." I mumbled the dragon gave me a questioning look.

"AGH!" He screamed in agony, sweat falling from his forehead, "ngh..! U-usagi-Sa...ma..." He called out my name, a child so small and petite you could probably carry him in your arms all day long and he'd way less than a feather.

'You cannot die yet Human, you still need to tell me your name. So for now, keep breathing. So that we go on adventures and we can help the Samaritan people. So please...stay with me in this painfully beautiful world.' I thought, In a way, I had already known there were good and bad humans alike.

Good humans weren't entirely good, but they tried to be that way, Bad Humans aren't entirely bad, but they were made that way due to traumatic or abusive experiences from other humans.

If nobody were to ever think they were better than the other, then maybe humans wouldn't be so cruel. If nobody ever lied, no one would cry. If everyone cared about each other the world would be better. Humans...make it look like it's the hardest thing on earth, but honestly, a little kindness wouldn't hurt anybody if you do it with good intentions, after all, everyone owns a heart, right?

"Heh..."
