Gaztela Kristala did justice to its reputation. I once heard that there was only one castle that could stand up to the majesty of the Royal Palace, and that was the Kristala, in the center of the Northern Capital.
Its name translated as crystal castle, and it came from the tallest tower, entirely constructed of ice crystal from the north. It was supposedly unbreakable and non-melting. Why? Who knows, supposedly it was magical ice, created by ancient gods from the snowy mountains.
When I got out of the carriage I felt the unrelenting cold. My hands went numb and my whole body shook nonstop. I had three layers of fur and yet I could feel the cold breeze outside.
«They weren't kidding when they told me that the north was unbearably cold» I thought.
My feet were dragging in the snow, at first, it seemed strange to me. It didn't feel like the sand dunes in the south, but at the same time, it felt the same. It was difficult to explain.
