They looked upon the next major city on their list, the city of Norland, with frustration and grief in their eyes. The sun was starting to set, casting its final orange light upon the ruined city walls, completely destroyed and nothing but rubble. This must have happened recently, because the soldiers were still crawling all over the city, escorting humans out in chains by the thousands. The bodies of thousands of soldiers, most human but some vampire, lie scattered everywhere around the wall and inside the city, where the vampires could be seen collecting their own dead but leaving the human bodies. Most of the buildings and houses were either destroyed or on fire, as well as the fields surrounding the city being completely trampled and burned. What ground that wasn't burned was muddy and soaked, telling him that it had rained excessively in just this area.
