At Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, three souls have died today.
Harry Potter's first year was intense. Magic, first friends in his life, first enemies, strange teachers, dangers inside the school and so much more. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, which is what happened with Harry's 'new life'.
The long-dead Dark Lord wanted to return to life, to steal the Philosopher's Stone for this and no one wanted to listen to the young wizard when he told them about the danger. The teachers simply said that the Stone was protected and sent Harry to sleep.
After Harry, Ron, and Hermione went through all the teachers' traps - how the hell did the three first years could do it anyway? - the young wizard was left alone with the Dark Lord. Voldemort found himself as a living parasite on the back of Quirrell's skull, who wanted more power, whatever that meant. According to Harry, if there is someone else is on your head, the power will not cover it. The Dark Lord tricked Harry to get the Sorcerer's Stone from the Mirror and something strange happened.
The two ancient artifacts were in too close contact, so when Harry separated the Infinite Battery from the Parasitic Mirror... Well, there was a magical release that took the souls of Harry Potter, Quirinus Quirrell, and Tom Riddle along with his Horcruxes with it. A little later, Minerva and Filius find only one body with two faces, Harry Potter's clothes, a broken mirror and the missing Philosopher's Stone.
Harry didn't wake up in his own bed, not in the medical wing, or even in the cupboard under the stairs. Blinking a couple of times to get rid of the fog in his eyes, the boy looked around. The young wizard looked at the modern looking office where everything was set up... Muggle? Or is this room still normal for him? Harry couldn't decide for now. But he knew for sure that this office reminded him of the Principal's Office in an ordinary school. Sharp corners and light walls, although he had never seen such comfortable-looking chairs in school. He ran his hand over the soft seat and looked at the shelves again, one of the books was in English, so Harry couldn't help but take it.
Imagine his surprise when the book contained his whole life! Even what will be in his future! Harry was mesmerized by the book and didn't even notice when someone entered the office. The door behind the silhouette closed with a soft click and the newcomer just stared at the child in shock for a couple of minutes.
"Ahem!"
The book fell from Harry's hands, he had just read the moment of his death at the hands of Voldemort in a Forbidden Forest. Apparently, he had a very sad life. The boy looked towards the newcomer and was surprised to see a woman without definite facial features.
Such a face will be forgotten by itself a couple of minutes after the meeting. Brown eyes, brown hair and the most ordinary square glasses, she was dressed in a formal suit and held a folder with documents in her hands.
"Well... you shouldn't be here."
She looked at the book on the floor, which in a second jumped up and returned to the shelf.
"And you definitely shouldn't be able to read that. Now tell me... Harry, how old are you?"
"...Eleven."
The woman looked at the documents in her hands and, with a sigh, threw them on the table.
"You have not been expected here for a long time."
Harry was finally able to get out of his stupor.
"Erm... where am I? This isn't Hogwarts, is it?" The woman took off her glasses and gave Harry a kind look.
"You're dead, my boy."
"...oh." was all the wizard could say.
"Unfortunately, your time has not come yet, so at the moment we have a difficult situation." She looked at the documents on the table, which in a short moment increased several times. Harry was silent and sometimes looked towards 'his' book.
"Okay, read it, it won't change anything anyway."
The woman handed the book to the boy.
"Thank you, um..."
"You can call me Jasmine."
"Thank you, Jasmine. And... what will happen to me now?"
"Now you will calmly read your book, and I will find a suitable solution..."
Harry nodded and went back to reading. After a while, he noticed something strange, as if the events from the book actually happened in his life. It was like a long forgotten memory that you saw in the early morning. When he finished reading his book - he died for the third time from old age - Jasmine looked at the documents and nodded in satisfaction.
"We have one option, we cannot return you to your past world, the magic wave destroyed your body. But we can put you in another world."
Harry was silent for a while and asked the woman hopefully.
"Can I at least see my parents...?"
Jasmine smiled sadly and patted the young wizard's head.
"Unfortunately, living souls cannot communicate with the dead. Even for you, exceptions cannot be made."
Harry sobbed a couple of times and began to cry, the reaper of death hugged the poor child to calm him down. She hated her job at times like this.
The last Potter had a million questions running through his head. Why him? What will happen to Hedwig? How will his friends react? He will never meet Sirius, Remus, Tonks, Luna and many others... Will there be another war? After a while Harry calmed down and stopped crying. It was nice to be hugged, although he was not used to it... Jasmine had very soft hands.
"Do you want to hear about your future?"
"...yea..."
Harry felt an arm patting his head again.
"We will send your soul into a new, suitable body, but since your magic has absorbed the Philosopher's Stone and the souls from the Mirror... Well, we will put your soul in a slightly special body."
Harry could only nod into her chest.
"Unfortunately, we will only be able to send you to the new world in three centuries, so during this time you will get used to your new magic."
The boy sobbed, peering to ask something, but his throat remained closed, Jasmine still understood everything.
"In the new world, your magic will become completely different, given the changes in your body, soul and... everyone else, you will have to get used to your power again."
"...power?"
"Harry, the Philosopher's Stone has changed your magic too much, now you won't be able to use spells or a Wand. All you have left is your 'Pride'. You have to figure it out yourself, forgive me."
The green-eyed boy could only nod back. Jasmine realized that he was very tired and let the child slowly fall asleep. When Harry finally fell asleep, the woman sat him on a chair and gently touched his head. Her hand glowed with a soft white light and immediately went out.
"You'll need this… have a nice trip, Harry."
---
The second time Harry woke up in a regular bed. He was in no hurry to open his eyes and just thought about all the strange things that happen in his life.
"But I won't have to go back to the Dursleys ever again."
It was one of the few bright thoughts in his head. The boy wanted to get out of bed, but he felt as if something had broken in his head and new memories flooded his mind.
Harry's name remained the same as before, which he was very happy about. He was now an orphan at the Japanese Orphanage, but the place exceeded his expectations. There were no scary people who treated him worse than the Dursleys, there were no daily beatings, and he was only occasionally assigned light jobs.
The changes in magic Jasmine talked about didn't hide for long. Society today was built on a strange form of 'Quirk' magic, for the lack of a better term. With a strong quirk you could become anything. Many people used their powers to protect others and were called Heroes, some became Villains or Vigilantes. And Harry was born Quirkless. Although, it is not entirely true, his Quirk has awakened only now, with his original soul.
The boy intuitively knew what his 'Pride' was capable of and was very excited. Such a tremendous force! The only thing Harry didn't know was what he wanted to do in the future. Now that he had no connections, friends or even family, he was lost.
Harry got up from his bed, which creaked under his weight, and looked around. He had a private room, which turned out to be even larger than Dudley's second bedroom. Harry looked around the modest room with a couple of book shelves, a table, a window, a wardrobe and his gaze fell on the mirror. From there, a more... healthier Harry looked at him, than the sicky boy he was used to.
His hair grew back to his shoulders, as he always wanted to do, but Petunia always cut it off almost bald - yes, it grew back overnight, but still. His green eyes were no longer hidden behind glasses, and his ribs were no longer visible. Overall, he began to look much better, and not like a ragamuffin from the street. Harry was surprised that he had small muscles from the constant running at the parks.
Suddenly the door to his room opened and a caretaker with purple hair, Azumi Sato, entered. She was a short, plump woman in her late fifties with a high ponytail on her head, in her hands was a small plate of water, where a wet towel lay. She looked at Harry and her eyes widened instantly.
"Harry! You can't get up yet, you have a temperature!"
The boy just now noticed that yes, he had a hot towel on his head, which only miraculously did not fall to the floor.
"Miss Sato, don't worry, I'm already feeling better! See, no fever!"
Azumi frowned and with a little telekinesis removed the towel from the child's forehead - Harry didn't even blink at the use of a quirk - and touched his forehead. The woman sighed and set the plate down on the table.
"You still shouldn't have got up, how can I keep track of you all?"
She began to mutter something to herself, but Harry didn't listen. His life was getting better and he couldn't help but smile.
