Chapter 212 - OUR DAILY BREAD

*FEBRUARY 19 SATURDAY 2022*

*TABERNACLE !*

*"On that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old; that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the Gentiles who are called by My name" (Amos 9: 11).*

*The first mention of 'tabernacle' in the Old Testament was that of Noah. He drank of the wine and was drunk (Genesis 9:21). We also read that Lot pitched his tent even as far as Sodom (Genesis 13:12).*

*Abraham's tabernacle was a tent of faith. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise (Hebrews 11:9).*

*Isaac's tabernacle was a tent of meditation. Jacob's tabernacle was a tent where he fought with God in prayer. The Scripture says: "How lovely are your tents, O Jacob! Your dwellings, O Israel!" (Numbers 24: 5).*

*Although there were several tabernacles in the Old Testament, it is only the tabernacle of David that God promised to raise up again. It was because David's tabernacle was filled with praise. It was a tent of worship and joyful thanksgiving. The Scripture says: "The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous" (Psalm 118: 15).*

*After the times of David, for a very long time, we do not read of believers dancing and singing like him with musical instruments. After the time of early apostles till about sixteenth century, there was no great revival in Church history.*

*But the Lord has promised that He will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which was lying in ruins. Before His second coming, the Lord wants to pour out anointing of worship on the children of God. He will surely raise them up, who will worship, praise and honor Him, as the heritage of David.*

*The coming of the Lord is at hand. Therefore, as the bride of Christ, you should go before Him with joyful songs and dance, with praise and worship and with gladness in your heart. You should not rather be found with a sad countenance and discontentment.*

*Children of God, in these last times, the Lord is eager to anoint you with the oil of gladness, and with joy in your heart. He will surely re-establish the tabernacle of David.*

*Verse for further meditation: "The noise of a multitude in the mountains, Like that of many people! A tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together!" (Isaiah 13: 4)*
