[Chapter 2 recap-
"Miss Evans you may go and start your work now" said Jaden in an unusually polite voice. Rose left the room as soon as she heard Jaden's words.
In an opposing manner Amanda said "But … but today she-" .
"I am the one to be blamed" he said "We had a small conversation in the garden and that is why she is late for work".
"Oh.. okay" murmured Amanda. She did not dare to question him about anything else. Jaden smiled at her and walked towards the office to meet the director of the hospital.]
Rose entered the staff locker room to change her clothes. She was walking towards her locker, just when someone said "You know the hot news?". Rose turned back and saw the light brown eyed blonde. It was Diana in caregivers uniform. She lifted her brows up and repeated herself "You know?".
Rose shook her head and said " No. I arrived just now ".
Diana walked closer to her and said in an excited voice "We have a new patient and if the rumors are true then he is an extremely handsome guy".
Rose silently judged her. 'How can somebody fall for a patient? And loving someone for their beauty is just so immature' Rose thought.
"I think I have a crush on him" confessed Diana. Rose could not help but stare at her with narrowed eyes. Seeing the remark on her face Diana asked "What? Now loving someone is wrong?" to which Rose replied "Well loving someone you have never met is not only wrong but also childish".
"Trust me loving handsome guys can never be wrong" Diana said in a confident manner. To Rose she sounded like a ten year old who could never accept that she is wrong. Letting an annoyed sigh out Rose took out the key of her locker.
"The word handsome reminds of Mr. Matthew. What were you guys talking about?" Diana asked. Rose had butterflies in her stomach on hearing her question. She was neither much quick witted nor was she much used to lying so she diverted the topic by asking "Why does the word handsome remind you about him?" .
"Because Mr. Matthew is the most handsome guy I know" Diana said and continued "Now please do not tell me that you do not like him". Rose tore her eyes from Diana to the locker thinking that she successfully diverted her mind but she was wrong as Diana again asked her "Come on now tell me, what you guys were talking about?". Rose pursed her lips thinking that there is no way she could escape from this question.
"Open the door" Amanda demanded. On recognizing her voice Diana rushed to unlock the door. Amanda's eyes stopped at the sight of Rose who still had not changed her clothes
"You still have not changed your clothes!" said Amanda in an unpleasant voice. "Anyways change your clothes quickly and meet me at the reception" said Amanda while turning her back.
" I am sor-"
"I don't want to hear anything" Amanda cut her off and walked out of the room.
Rose could sense the amount of anger her voice carried so she quickly unlocked her locker and Diana left the room so that Rose could change. Rose tied her mid length brown hair her using a hair tie and clipped her bangs so that they do not get into her eyes and disturb her. She wore the sea green uniform. The shirt was a little bigger than her size but it was comfortable so she never altered it and the trousers fitted her well. She wore her ID around her neck and left the locker room.
Her steps stopped near the reception. When her big green eyes met Amanda's sharp brown eyes , she greeted Amanda with a smile. Amanda remained expressionless and pulled out a file from the stack of files kept in the lower cabinet of the reception's table.
"You will be nursing a new patient" said Amanda looking into the folder. Rose was surprised to hear that.
"But I have been attending Mr. Martin only for a month" said Rose. A month was enough to get attached to a patient . Considering that she had not nursed him completely and leaving him in the middle of treatment is the worst thing that a caregiver could do to a patient according to her.
"I know, do not worry about him Diana will be attending him as your replacement"
"Why can't Diana attend the new patient?" asked Rose.
"Our new patient has a high class profile in the society" replied Amanda.
Rose still did not understand why she could attend the new patient and not Diana.
Amanda finally looked at her and said "We don't have enough caregivers who can actually take care of the patient instead of admiring his beauty. We can only trust you with him , plus he will be your last patient as a caregiver". Amanda smilingly said "Your internship will be getting over in two months and everybody is planning to appoint you here as psychologist".

"Would you like to see him ?" asked Amanda going through her files.
"See whom?" Rose asked.
"The new patient you will be attending from tomorrow" said Amanda.]
