Chapter 2 - Some Weirdo's Next Door

After Mom replied to Siri's question, we look at each in pure shock and confusion. Then, there is a knock on our front door. We open it up to find a boy about my age. And boy, is that boy cute! He has short black hair, pointed ears (for some reason) and ocean blue eyes. He looks me and my mom up and down and says, "Hello. Welcome to Massage Falls, Maine. My family lives right next door if you need anything. My name is Henry Celeborn. And this is my family behind me." We look up startled to find an entire family just appearing before our eyes. "Hello, welcome to the neighborhood." They all say, not quite yelling. "If you have any questions, you may just ask us." The oldest of the girls, maybe the mother, says. "I'm Mary Celeborn." My mom looks at Mary and says, "Actually, we were wondering if there were any good restaurants in town. Do you know any?"

Mary looks almost scared that Amy, my mother, asked that, but she manages to hold back her look of fright and reply, "Yeah there is one. White Harris. Middle of Main Street. You can't miss it. Now, would you like any help unpacking or to come over to our house for a friendly neighborhood dinner?" My mom just looks at me and replies, "No, thank you. I think we are just good going to the restaurant. But thanks for the offer. We might have to take a rain check on the dinner." Mary looks confused when mom says rain check and exclaims, "It's not raining out right now." Henry looks at his mother and says to her in a voices he must think I can't hear, "Rain check just means that they don't want to have the dinner today and would like to reschedule the dinner to another night, mom." Mary starts nodding and looks at my mom and says, "Of course we can take a rain check. I can't wait to get to know you and your daughter. I never caught your names though."

"Right sorry. I'm Amy Aestra and this is my daughter Lucille." Mary looks surprised my name is Lucille and turns away. "Well, Amy and Lucille, it was nice to meet you. I'll see you soon I hope. And I think that Henry and Lucille are in the same grade, is that correct?" I look shy and say, "I'm a senior. What grade are you in, Henry?" Henry fixes those ocean blue eyes on me and says, "Me too. Hopefully we are in some classes together." "Yep!" I exclaim. "Okay, good night now." My mother blurted out. After my mom said that, the Wilson's got the hint and said goodbye, heading back to their house right next door.

My mother shut the door and looked at me and said, "Why dont we go find that restaurant now?" I agreed and we headed out to the car and then got in a drove to the restaurant. We sat down, ordered, ate and then left and headed home. Since all of our furniture is arriving tomorrow, we brought sleeping bags out and slept like we would if we were camping.
