So now that the intruders are trapped, there isn't much else for me to do. Honestly, I'm happy I was finally able to do something at this boring party. I don't really care for public gatherings after all.
The only problem is now that the problem is resolved, I'm bored again. Can some more idiotic Magic Liberators come; I want to beat them up. That would at least be better entertainment than this.
Am I becoming a violent person? Ah well, I don't really care. It's not like I'm hurting anyone who doesn't deserve it. I mean, I'm still against killing people, but psychologically torturing them by putting them in an endless inescapable hallway is fine, right?
I'm obviously joking. I wouldn't want to put everyone here in danger just for some entertainment... maybe.
In all seriousness though, it would probably be better if nothing else bad happened. I wanna live a quiet peaceful life... not like that is realistically gonna happen but still.
Okay, now that the whole crazy intruder fiasco is over, back to the party. Well, people are still dancing and I am still standing here like an idiot by myself. I mean, there isn't much for me to do other than interact with people, and like I said, that really isn't my thing.
It is kind of annoying I got tracked, and if this tracker has been on me since that one incident at school happened, that means that the Magic Liberators know where I live. That isn't a good sign.
Nowadays I leave a thin barrier over the house to notify me of intruders by sensing their gravitational field, and that hasn't gone off yet, so the house is safe for now.
I should do something about that though. I don't want my family to worry so I'll have to think about a good excuse for whatever I do to solve this problem. I mean saying, "Hey, you know that one terrorist group that goes around murdering people, yeah they are after me for some unknown reason." won't exactly fly.
Well, if I have to guess why the Magic Liberators are after me, I've basically ruined their plan multiple times. I mean, I escaped the kidnapping, I helped William with his magic poisoning, which they took offense to for some reason, and I think they had to do with the assassination attempts at the Spectrum University tournament incident. Can't prove it, but I suspect it.
Well, I can deal with that tracking problem later. If they know where I live, I will just have to put up more protective barriers. It's not like they will be able to get through my stronger barriers... I hope.
I mean, right now my strongest sustainable barrier makes it so the isolated space is inaccessible from the outside, which is a double-edged sword because it is also inescapable from the inside.
The best choice would just be to wait it out and let the Magic Liberators make the first move. The instant they cross the barrier to my house, I can teleport there.
If there is another anti-teleportation barrier, then I don't know what I will do though. I don't really have a better choice right now though.
I also don't want to raise suspicion, so I need to stay at this stupid party until it is over, so checking on home can wait, unless...
Well, I just so happen to need to go to the restroom...
Okay, so I'm totally just going to enter a stall and teleport out of the place. Oops, almost went into the men's restroom, good thing I noticed.
I'll just check home and come back, it shouldn't be that bad.

Unknown POV:
"As you expected, our people invading the college party failed. We predict that the target should be checking her home to make sure that her family is okay."
"Perfect, move on to phase two."
"Yes sir."

Jess' POV:
Okay so I know leaving the party unattended is a terrible idea, but if the Magic Liberators think I'm the only genius in my family, they are about to be in for a rude awakening.
Let's just say that my sister is a genius inventor, and some of the things she makes are less than... conventional.
Well, I'll leave the people at the party to her. Let's just see what is at home.
Hmm, there doesn't seem to be anyone here. I guess I don't need to worry then... wait. Where is my brother, where is Mom? Dad should be at work, but Mom should be out of work right now. This is suspicious.
I don't sense anyone here. Everything is as it should be. Maybe my mom and brother left to do something? Maybe get food? No, that is wishful thinking, always prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
Well, Mom's car is still here, so I don't think that they left for somewhere. They should be home, but they are not. This is not good. Nothing should be able to get past my detection.
I guess I don't really have a choice, I didn't want to do this, because it gives me a headache, but I'll have to expand my detection. Too far, and I might pass out from over-exertion, but that is a risk I just have to take.
In order to spread my detection over a wider distance, I have to use a spell, specifically a spell I've named 'Gravity Sensory Expansion' or 'GSE' for obvious reasons.
"'Gravity Sensory Expansion'"
Let's get his done before my brain explodes why don't we. Let's see, I can't detect them anywhere in a one-kilometer radius. I'll try two. Three. Four. Five. Six...
*Cough* I think I've gotten their location, they're around twenty miles north-northeast from here.
I'll get there faster if I use 'Float' and gain speed by pulling myself horizontally towards a wall to gain speed.

Kari's POV:
Jess texted me that she was going to check something back at home and to not contact her. Weird. Well, she's always off doing her own thing.
Wait, what is that smell, I'm starting to feel nauseous.
"Are they all unconscious?"
"Yeah, I think this Elf is the one that we are looking for."
"The sister of that pest that keeps getting in our way?"
"Yeah."
What are they talking about? I guess it's a good thing I pretended to be unconscious, this is some valuable information. Those nanobots that I made and injected into my body really are helpful. They are neutralizing the poison in the air.
These people are after the sister of a girl who keeps getting in their way, and they are standing over me. Am I that person?
Does that mean that they are talking about Jess? What did she do this time?
I think I see a symbol on their chests. A sword piercing a skull with an M and L on the temple... isn't that the symbol of the Magic Liberators?
Why are they after my sister? I should keep listening.
"Why do we have to deal with the dirty work, I wish we could work the trap that boss set up for that pest."
"Let's just deal with the sister, okay?"
A trap?!? That isn't good... Wait, deal with me? They aren't gonna kill me, are they? Seems like I'll have to take action.
"Hey losers. What are going to do to my sister?"
"What? She's awake! How? We poisoned the ventilation! This poison should make one pass out quicker the more MP they have!"
"Well, first of all, my inventions protected me, and second of all, if MP accelerates the poison, no wonder it had less of an effect on me."
"What does that mean?"
"I'm what you guys call a cripple, a weakling. I have almost no MP to speak of."
"What?!? Your sister is a monster, and you are nothing?"
"Look, that's just how it is. I can't help how I was born. I don't mind though, don't underestimate me because of my MP."
"Yeah, what are you going to do? Shoot us?"
"You know what, that's a good idea. Nanobots, activate protocol G1."
Microscopic nanobots that previously flowed through me start to come out of my skin and stick together into the shape of a handgun.
In self-defense, I installed a feature that allows my nanobots to take the form of any weapon in the case of an emergency, never thought I would actually use this feature, but I guess this will be a good test run.
"I don't know where that gun came from, but what is it going to do against us?"
Oh, you naive fool. He thinks this is a normal weapon.
"Nanobots, set to armor-piercing rounds. Set power level to ten percent. Fire"
Two loud bangs later, and both of the invaders are down. No, I didn't kill them, I set the power level to ten percent for a reason. However, I do think they might have a couple of broken ribs.
Well, that was a good test drive of the handgun form of my nanobots, as well as the poison immunity feature. I got some good data out of this. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise... oh no, I forgot, Jess is walking into a trap!
