In the first day when I arrived in this world and got the system, and the task, I didn't know what to do first. So I started to walk around the lake and explore the surrounding. And that was a big mistake.
While I was walking beside the lake, a horde of wild boar like things started run towards me! I almost shit myself. But luckily, I didn't panic and jumped into the lake and started to swim, fortunately I am a good swimmer. And it seemed to be a good decision, because the horde stoped at the shore and started to drink.
'Phew, it seems they are just thirsty! It looks like the lake is the water source of the forest so the animals come here to drink.'
I swam back to the shore. But I was wet and cold. So I looked up the knowledge about fire starting in my guide. And voala in a half an hour I have a campfire. And it seems the animals here, are afraid of fire. So I stocked my campfire with enough wood for the night. And because I was mentaly and physically exhausted, I slept in. Not even caring about the dangers around me.
When I woke up, after a few hour. It is pretty hard to tell what the time is because it's always almost dark here and it is quite depressing. Looking around I confirmed that everything wasn't a dream. I felt like crying again but I pressed it down. I checked the fire and it almost extinguished, so I restocked again.
'What shoud I do?'
Because I had no idea what to do. I started to digest the guide book of survival in my mind. It had a lot of things in it. Like how to start a fire or how to build a hide outs or how to make traps and some knowledge about plants and animals.
After while I got thirtsty so I drank from the lake. And somehtin I didn't notice yesterday, the water is very refreshing. After thinking a while, on my priorities. I decided started to build my hideout first and the best place I could find was a tree top.
#29 days later.#
"System how much tim left until the completion of the task?"
Noah asked, lying in his make shift bed in his tree house.
[8 Hours Host]
'Only 8 hours left, Huh.'
I have been waiting for this for so long. But I have to say it was a productive month. I built a cool treehouse and already made stone tools and clay utensils.
And most of the time I was diggest the knowledge I got. I wasn't that dumb before but now I think I am pretty smart. And not just smart, I am getting inhumanly strong and my wounds are healing fater too. And it all thanks to the strange lake. I asked the system and it said that it is happening because of the high mana concentration in the water. And it is the same for the animals too. (They get stronger and more intelligent.)
Luckily I built my treehouse in a secluded area. But I still saw gigantic animals drinking from the lake. So in the first few days I only ate berrys because I was afraid of hunting. But I got really hungry and said 'Fuck it, I'm risking it.'
After I went out to hunt with a spear and traps. First I was very bad at it, but after a few days I got my first pray with a trap in the image of a giant rabbit. Luckily it was already dead because it could have put up a good fight. After getting back to my camp, I had the best dinner I have ever had.
But it wasn't always a good time. I had a few close calls with big animals but I somehow survived. But the worst is the lonliness. I'm antisocial but I still have homesickness. And my only communication partner is the system. And he some times a little boring.
But I still get to know a lot of thing like in the store the blueprints are generally cheaper than the knowledge. And the rarity gose by: Basic --> High --> Advanced. Speaking about store I bought the basic the {Basic} Spearmanship guide with all of my points (That is 500 points). Because I wanted to defend myself and it came with some exercises. And this decision saved my life in a couple of times.
One time I even had to climb on a tree, to get rid of a wolf pack chasing me. But they gave up quickly and went away.
But nowdays I already started to process the leather of the animals I hunt. And started to plant berrys and wild vegetables too.
"System please wake me up when the tasks finished."
