My mom had always been a caring woman who, was able to easily discover immediately if anything was wrong with me or my sister and then she would find a way to solve it.
She easily noticed that something was up when I got up earlier than usual to prepare for school.
"Anything wrong Mike?" She asked.
I was trying to sneak out of the room to go take my bath.
"Nothing,I just want to get ready for school"
"Really"
"Yes"
"That's funny because you are the reason Aurora's always late to school"
She was right I wasn't a wake up early guy,Aurora even had to wake me up sometimes to prepare for school then she would have to wait for me and finally end up going to school late.
"I want to be early today"
"Wow that's an improvement" She said changing her lying position to a sitting position now.
I could hear Aurora yawn now, she was awake.Our house was built in a pretty weird style, we had to pass our parents room before going outside or into our own rooms.
"What's going on here?" Aurora yawned,after she walked in through the door.
Then she saw that I was awake and standing at the door leading outside.
"Wow Mike you are awake.That's new"
"I thought so too" Said mom.
"Well let's just say I'm a changed person now" I said and left immediately to avoid further questions.
"What's his problem?" Mom asked Aurora immediately I left.
I knew that question would come up which was why I was eavesdropping on them.
"I don't know"
"Are you sure?"
"Well...."
Aurora was about to let the cat out of the bag, but I had to do something.
"Aurora I need your help!" I badged in through the door.
"What!"
I had startled both of them with my unexpected entrance.
"Come I'll show you" I pulled her by the arm and left.
"Were you about to tell mom about Chloe and Chris?" I asked as soon were far away from the house.
"No I wasn't"
"Wait were you eavesdropping on us?" She asked.
"Because I was afraid you would say something"
"Well I wasn't.I was going to tell her about Chloe only"
"Well you shouldn't,at least until this Chris problem is solved"
Aurora started laughing I didn't say anything funny, but why was she laughing.
"You didn't tell me you are now getting up early because of Chris" She said still laughing.
"Off course.Do you want me to die?"
"You are a coward" She said still laughing.
"You don't even know what that word means"
"Off course I do" She was still laughing.
"Kids you guys should stop playing and get ready for school!" Mom yelled from the house.
"We are coming mom!" We both said together.

I was too busy looking out for any ambush that I didn't hear Chloe call me when I entered the school.
"Mike what is wrong with you?" She yelled before I could hear her.
"I tried to tell you" Said Aurora,then she walked to class after saying hi to Chloe.
"Mike you are going crazy" Said Chloe.
"No I'm not, I'm just being careful"
"Acting like a thief all the time is weird you know"
"But I have to do it to stay safe"
"There's only one way you can stay safe"
"Are you saying that...."
I hope she wasn't trying to say what I thought she was going to say,this was my choice, but yet she preferred to let it all go just to make sure that I was safe.
"Yes Mike we have to stop seeing each other,and I think it's for the best"
She walked away before we finished our conversation.I felt like something that had held up since my life just left me.I wasn't able move for a while after she left me, but there was a big question, what was I going to do to put an end to this madness I had to think of a plan really quick.
Chloe didn't even look at me when I entered the class she acted as if she never knew me.
"Hey" I tried to get her attention as I sat down but she didn't buy it.
She wasn't going to talk to me unless I figured out a way to be alone with her,then suddenly an idea came to my mind.Miss Nicole had this strict rule of sending those who fought in class to the toilet to do the cleaners work.
"Hey Chloe what's your problem?" I pushed her.
"Mike I've told you to stop!"
"And what if I don't, what will you do?"
She backed me and faced her desk.This wasn't working, I had to do something maybe get her to scream so I pulled her hair, which wasn't something I would do under normal circumstances.She screamed so loud that miss Nicole without further ado sent us to the toilet.
"I didn't know you to be such an idiot" She said.
"Listen to me Chloe I did those things for a purpose"
"I don't care!" She increased her pace to avoid talking to me.
Right now I felt like she hated me.
"Listen Chloe,I am sorry about whatever happened in the class"
"May I remind you Mike that this is not a perfect time for apologies"
"Yes but it is a perfect time to save my friendship"
Those words melted her temper because she stopped talking immediately.
"This is the best time to save my relationship with only friend in school"
"But what about Chris?" She asked but with a calm voice now.
"That's the reason I brought us out here"
"What do you mean?"
"I have a plan"

I knew Chris would be waiting for me after school hours, but that was all part of my plan.Aurora had to go home alone and alone and lie to my parents that I had some work to finish up,she didn't buy the idea at first but after I clearly explained everything to her she agreed.
I was walking home alone after Aurora had gone home when Chris with his four body guards that followed him everywhere tried to ambush me.I dashed into the bush running as fast as I could while they pursued me from behind I was running at my full speed but I wasn't fast enough because Chris was almost catching up to me.
"I'm dead meat if he catches me" I said to myself.
But catching me was all part of the plan,as I ran into a space surrounded by huge trees I tripped and fell.
"Now I've got you fool" Chris laughed,as he drew closer to me.
"Next time you will never mess with my wife"
As he was about to punch me a voice came from behind the one of the trees.
"Freeze!"
Chloe,her parents and two policemen were hiding behind the trees.Chris and his men were dumbfounded.
"You are under arrest" The officer pulled out a handcuff.
"For what?" Chris asked feigning boldness.
"For molesting small children and attempting to rape a sixteen year old girl"
Rape a girl?, that wasn't part of my plan.Chloe never told me that Chris attempted to rape her, this would have been a lot easier.As Chris was handcuffed his men tried to escape but my leg was in the perfect position for them to trip over it.
"You'll regret this!" Chris yelled as they policemen were talking him away.
"A thirty five year old man trying to rape and marry a sixteen year old girl.Yes I will regret arresting him" The policeman said sarcastically.
I wasn't expecting this but immediately the police along with Chris and his men were out sight Chloe ran and hugged me in front of her parents, that was awkward but cute.
"You are the best" She said before breaking the embrace.
"Yes but try to provide with more details on a problem next time"
Then I brought my voice down.
"Like you never told me about the rape that almost happened" I whispered covering my mouth.
"Oh that never happened"
"What!" I was shocked.
"But forcing a little girl to get married to her own father is the same as rape"
She did have point so I let it slide.Mr and Mrs James thanked me for helping them catch Chris,a deed they were never able to achieve on their own and went home afterwards feeling as free as the air.
