Denzel got up from the sleeping bag and came out of the tent. It was early and it showed, but Denzel didn't want to take his chances that day. He already wasted his first day, and he knew if he didn't sit up the second day, he was going to achieve nothing.
He jogged to the pool and washed his face. He took out a toothbrush and washed his teeth, he knew no one was there to watch him and notice him, but that didn't change the fact that he wanted to be clean there.
When Denzel was done, he put the brush into a little bag, took out a little bowl and put water into it. He washed his body with a bar of soap and took water in the bowl to pour on his body.
"Who knew these few things I picked up would be this useful?" Denzel said to himself as he smiled a little, as he remembered the way he picked things he saw on the ground that he felt might be useful the day before.
He took water into the bowl and moved to another spot to wash his body, he didn't want to contaminate the water.
Denzel finished washing up and jogged back with the little things he had with him. He got back to his hideout and arranged a few things.
Denzel knew it would be impossible to start an all-out training, as his body wasn't used to it, so he decided that he was going to start and move on steadily1.
"There are trees here." He said, surveying the place, and he continued,
"Pull-ups, Push-ups, Sit-ups, burpees, plank ups, what else? Triceps dip... Inchworm... Step-ups, Lunge, Squats, spot jumps... walk down to planks, Courtesy Lounges... Squat jumps, Will do those every day, when I reach my limit, I will take a break and continue If I can." Denzel said to himself and started to hop on a spot.
He took position and jugged, counting laps at approximately 10 minutes. He counted 10 laps and stopped to take a break. He moved from that and went down, squatting. He squats, and jumped up slowly, counting up the moment he does. He counted to 20 and stopped, he continued, from squat jumps to Sit-ups, 20 of them, and push-ups.
Denzel was already panting, but it got worse and now he was gasping for breath. He had gone past his limit and he stood, walking to his belongings and he took the container he kept water in. After drinking much water, he sat, still panting and after some time, he was calm.
He stood to walk around, looking for anything he could eat. While he kept walking, he heard the sound of dry leaves rustling and it sounded like it came towards him.
"Not this please.." Denzel said the moment he turned back and saw a snake crawl up to him. He cringed since he didn't like them, but he knew he had to deal with it since he is going to be in the woods for a long time.
He took a stick with a sharp end a began to wave it at the snake, which kept pushing itself forward and back to dodge Denzel's attack. Denzel moved back, trying to climb a tree but the snake kept on following him.
"Go! getaway! I won't kill you if you do, don't let me kill you!" He kept yelling at the snake-like the snake could understand all he was saying, he climbed up to a branch and the snake began to move up. He jumped down, and as he did, he noticed a liquid pour out of the snake's teeth while he was in mid-air, luckily for him, he was able to dodge the venom.
He began to run, as fast as he could, and he hadn't even gone far when he saw another one.
"No, no..."
He turned back and ran away from the snake. He only got to his hideout and saw that the snake was still present there. Out of frustration, he took a massive rock and launched it at the snake, the snake dodged that and started coming towards him. He kept on flinging stones at the snake, and finally, one of the rocks hit the snake's head and the snake stopped. He moved closer slowly and noticed how the snake struggled to move. The head was smashed.
"Finally."
Denzel sighed, preparing to carry up the snake. The snake launched itself at Denzel and Denzel froze in fear, wondering how a snake could still move without its head. He continued to smash its body until he noticed the snake was still. He picked the dead snake and returned to his hideout.
"With the stress that I have gone through, I can't go and hunt another animal. I will make do with this snake." Denzel said as he took out his knife and stabbed the snake's belly. He slit it open and removed the guts in the snake. He pulled the skin out and flung it, he didn't want it near him. He rinsed the body and the gut of the snake till he noticed there was no sign of blood in it. He made a fire and rolled the meat around the stick that was over the fire.
When the meat was done, Denzel didn't know what part of the snake was edible, so he placed the gut on the stick that was over the fire and he began to eat the meat of the snake.
"Not bad, it's a little sweet," Denzel said as he munched the meat of the snake.
When Denzel had eaten what he could eat, he kept the rest in a plastic that he kept on the ground and took down the gut and tried to eat it. It tasted bitter. He spat it out and kept it by his side. He didn't want to eat anything poisonous.
He took out the remaining part of the meat he left behind and ate it little by little. While he did, he noticed a hawk fly down and it stood at his front like it needed something from him. He took out the gut and threw it to the hawk, and the hawk ate it very quickly. He smiled and took his knife, and then he cut the remaining meat into pieces and threw it to the hawk and some other hawks came to join in.
"Hungry things," Denzel said as he threw the rest of the meat to the birds, and he went into his tent after he drank the remaining water left in the container.

HILLDALE.
"Hello, this is Ted."
-Ted? Please what about Denzel?-
Ted looked confused. He removed the phone he placed by his ear and took a look at it. He thought the phone was his and found out that it was Denzel's phone, and the caller was Denzel's Dad.
'Thank the heavens that it wasn't someone else.'
"Hello Sir, this is Denzel's cell phone, and you are speaking with Denzel's friend, Ted."
-Ted?
...Ohh! It's you that he stays with now! He told me the last time we spoke. How is Denzel please? News about him is everywhere and I haven't heard from him in a while.-
"Sir, Denzel didn't kill them, I can assure you about that."
-I know, he told me. Just give him the cell phone.-
"Sir, Denzel isn't with me, he is nowhere to be found, and he left his phone with me, and left a message that he is going to be away for a long time and that I should explain things to you."
-Denzel left? To where?-
"I don't know about that, but he said he would be alright and that you shouldn't worry."
-Okay, I understand, please if it's possible, help me find out where he went to. I need to see him.-
"Okay sir, I am trying my best to find him, but I will try harder now. I will find him."
-Ahh! Thanks, that's all I need from him now.-
Denzel's dad ended the call and Ted placed the phone on the table. He disliked calls phone calls from people he didn't know. He sighed.
