A year had passed. At Hilldale, more news of M.D was heard, the investigators in charge of the M.D's case were more frustrated than ever. Two years had passed after the death of Denzel's friends and the investigation was still on.
Lucas Jane was ready to give up the case to another team, he was fed up and annoyed at the fact that no matter how fast they managed to get to the crime scene, they never seemed to move forward with their investigation.
They set out to search everywhere around Hilldale, they entered the next cities but they couldn't get past there, because they felt he won't be able to get into Mountaly.
Denzel's father, Miller Chris was taken custody, when they suspected that Denzel might have been hiding with them. They searched the whole house, checked and did all they could but they still couldn't get hold of Denzel.
At some point, they started to think Denzel might have been dead and someone might be using his name to kill, they tried to investigate based on that deduction but still, all they planned failed. When it got out of hand, Lucas Jane resigned.

MOUNTALY, MASAN
"Wow, I have really buffed up so much," Denzel said to himself while flexing his muscle as he laid down on his bed. He decided to take a break that day, as he was always uptight. Denzel had changed a lot in the two years of his stay at his hideout at Mountaly and he was still ready to do anything to get much better.
He never for once forgot about Leia, and his objective, since even his dreams haunted him and reminded him about her.
"Well, I buffed up, but who cares about that, I have no experience or so in battle, I only exercise and work out, but if I should confront Leia this way, I am sure to die," Denzel said as he dropped his arms and he began to look at the roof of his tent.
"Wow.."
Denzel smirked a little.
"I don't have an idea of how many weeks I might have spent here, maybe even years, every day just goes by, and I don't even know what the hell is going on at Hilldale. I hope dad and everyone is fine."
He sat up.
"Maybe I should just do some little exerci-"
Denzel kept shut for a minute, as he heard the sound of someone yelling but he wondered who that might be, he wasn't ready to meet with anyone and he didn't want to get his cover blown.
"Arghhh!!"
Denzel's guard went up, and wondering what might have gone wrong, he calmed down to be able to get a clue of what is going on.
Denzel began to hear noises of an animal, as it sounded like something was growling.
'A wild animal?' He thought to himself, still confused about what went wrong. He was quite sure that it wasn't the voice of a male he heard, but that of a female, a girl actually.
Denzel opened the zip of the tent a little and peeped to get a clue of what was going on. The moment he looked through it, he saw a girl, of about his age or younger fall down, and she held a stick, moving it to protect herself.
"Get away!"
A bear fell on her and she used the stick to guard herself. She kept on struggling with the bear as the bear tried pulling the stick from her hand.
The girl turned her face and saw the tent. She saw that it moved some while ago and knew someone was in it.
"Hey! You in that tent! Please help! I would be killed soon! I don't want to die, hey! can't you hear me?!" She kept on yelling out to Denzel and Denzel didn't want to answer her for some personal reasons. He still had an issue with people and he wondered what the hell a girl might have been doing at Mountaly, in the woods.
Denzel kept shut, still watching to see what might happen next.
"Someone help, please!"
Immediately she yelled that out, the bear grabbed the stick and threw it away.
Unconsciously, Denzel charged forward from the tent and kicked the bear away from her. The bear growled and got up. It charged towards Denzel and Denzel moved back.
"Get up! Get out of here!" Denzel yelled to the girl while his face was still focused on the bear. He didn't want to lose his guard and he didn't want the girl to be a burden.
The girl adhered to his words as she got up and ran, to hide at the back of the tent.
"Good."
The bear hurled its arm at Denzel to scratch him, but Denzel kept on moving back step by step. Denzel went back, turned his back to bear and went down, on his arms and he raised his left leg, landing a kick to the chin of the bear's face and the bear moved back two steps.
Denzel was about to transform to his eagle form when he remembered that he had basically done all he did without transforming into his beast form.
"Well this could give me some experience in battles, I should go against this without transforming into my eagle's form."
Denzel ducked and crouched, calculating the movement of the bear that could stand on its two hind feet. The bear was an animal, so it was only obvious that its movement was going to be predictable.
The bear propelled itself at him again and this time, it landed on him. Denzel struggled with the bear, trying to push it away from his body and the bear kept on hurling its arms to strike an attack at Denzel. Denzel used his arms to guard his face and when Denzel noticed that the bear was about to bite him, he added more strength to his earlier attacks and used his two legs to push the bear back a little, with his two feet, he pushed the bear off his body. He stood, making a dominating stance to the bear to scare the bear off. The bear also stood, to show Denzel the difference in size.
Denzel kept on making that stance until the bear dashed at him once more. As the bear charged, Denzel noticed a rock fly past him and land on the bear's head. The bear staggered back, and after staggering a bit, it stood, and shook itself and continued to move forward. Denzel was shocked at the accuracy of the shot of the rock from the girl. He was about to prepare for the attack of the bear when he heard the sound of a bird coming towards him.
He had no choice but to duck, but he knew that if he did that, the bear coming towards him was going to get him. But still, he ducked, putting all odds on the fact that the choice he made would be better.
Suddenly, he saw a hawk get past him and the hawk used his two legs to attack the eyes of the bear. Denzel was shocked, the hawk was the hawk that he fed once in a while. The hawk normally just ate and flew away, and every time it flew away, Denzel always hissed and said, "Ungrateful thing" jokingly.
The hawk flew away after that attack and Denzel smiled and thought, 'Thanks, I see you aren't ungrateful.'
Denzel saw that the bear was still struggling to see and Denzel took that chance to land a punch to the bear's face. He ran back to the tent, took the knife he had with him, and stabbed the bear's chest. it stabbed it twice more and saw that the bear was no longer struggling.
Denzel stood up, the knife still in his hands and he watched the bear as it used its last energy to stand up from where it was and walk away. The bear didn't go far when it fell to the ground.
Denzel sighed and turned back, he saw the girl come out from where she hid and she stood by the tent. Denzel didn't care about her, he actually cared less from the start, but, out of his kind nature, he rushed to help her.
"Thank you so much, I thought I'd die." She said smiling.
"Yeah, bye," Denzel said to her as he walked back to his tent.
