Chapter 10 - I Am Not Sly.

"Driver... please, stop the car, I wanna leave."

Leia stood as the car came to a halt, preparing to get off the vehicle when Denzel dragged her back.

"Leia, I am sorry for pulling you into a mess like this, but please I beg that you should hold no fault. If anyone should get out of this vehicle, it should be that Ted, this jackass."

"Denzel"

Leia called softly, tears still dropping down from her eyes. Ariel then spoke up.

"Ted.. I really have a hard time believing you, please would you mind breaking it to us if this is a prank?"

"A prank, I doubt Ted would have a plan like that in mind, If you were to ask me, Ted, you are going to be the Traitor. Please I don't want to lose my anger, and with utmost respect, get out of this car."

Denzel yelled, still pulling the hand of Leia who had already agreed with Denzel. Ted got up, carried his book and backpack. He was ready to leave when he made his final comment to them.

"Ariel, I know... that you have feelings for me, I thought you might agree with me..."

Ariel face turned red as she began to blush.

"...Denzel, I hoped you would have asked me about what I noticed, you know I don't just bring up a point I can't back up. Well, I had a surprise for Ariel before but that's the end. I hope y'all don't regret it. Bye."

Ted ended and got out of the vehicle. Ariel shifted to the back of Denzel and whispered.

"Denzel, please, go call Ted back, I don't want us to send Leia off this way. Let's settle it please.

Denzel turned giving Ariel an annoying look, he shifted his arm away from her. It wasn't long when Ted found a taxi and he entered it and went home.

"Hmph, now let's all cool off and keep up with our trip, Let's enjoy ours-"

Denzel paused when he was speaking. He noticed the atmosphere in the vehicle. Everywhere was gloomy and Boring. Denzel sat back and flowed with the vibe in the car. The car moved in to their destination.

'I pray we really don't regret this as Ted said.'

Ariel thought looking up. She wanted to talk but Denzel spoke before she could.

"By the way, Why haven't we heard anything from Carter?"

Everyone looked ahead to where Carter sat and saw his neck bent as he slept with his mouth wide open.

"Ha ha ha, Isn't that the idiot that claimed I would crash in this car? Hahahaha, let me get a shot of him."

Denzel spoke aloud, laughing as he took out his cell phone to take a shot of Carter.

Ariel was surprised as Denzel had quickly forgotten about the issue that was on ground.

It wasn't long when the car came to a stop after it took a turn to the right. They had gotten to their destination.

"So, we really would go on without Ted?"

Ariel asked, still looking sad as they came off one after the other and then Denzel looked back.

"Are you going to come down and enjoy the picnic with us? I don't have the time to worry about some traitor who is trying to cause some dispute between all of us, so I am off."

Denzel got off, looking up at the entrance. It indeed was a beautiful place with the gold gate that automatically opened as they moved closer to it. As they crossed through the gate, they noticed a red light scan them to ensure they didn't have any dangerous object with them and from there, some officers were been notified to search them thoroughly from head to toe. This was only normal since they were all free to move round without a guide to take them round, due to the reservation made. They had the place all to themselves.

"What tight security, not like we are hear to bomb or anything."

Denzel looked at the guard that searched him and spoke out.

"Well, we can't know who's who actually so these has to be done."

Denzel was replied immediately by the guard who searched him and then, he was signalled to pass..

"Woah! Leia, what do you think about this place? I love the way the change of season feels here, it feels like I am in the autumn season."

"Yeah Denzel, it really is fascinating, I would really love to know how they do these."

Ariel got in between them and spoke.

"They would have explained that to us but, we are here not to hear that but to enjoy your party."

"Hm hm, now let's us get into party mode and enjoy this picnic, there is a spot here I would love to visit, Is everyone agreeing about that with me?"

Rocco placed his palm on his forehead and spoke.

"Carter, I feel you should just do what you want, we don't really Care about that. Do what you want since you picked out this place."

Carter looked at everyone and they nodded.

"Since y'all are with me, let's move!"

They moved on with Carter at their front to lead them and they discussed about lots of things as they walked.

"Here we are!"

Carter said to them after they had been walking for a long time. They had passed through different tunnels, and bridges before they had gotten there.

"Finally Carter, I thought we were going to walk forever, that was just too long."

"My apologies, Denzel, this is just the best spot because we have no disturbance and we could enjoy ourselves to the fullest."

Rocco wiped his face with a napkin which he always had with him.

"Really Carter how many times have you been here? I don't think I could get those directions."

"Naa these tab just showed me the directions to the place with the fullest autumn leaves, really you don't get his they did this."

They arranged about two to three blankets on the ground to sit on, and then they started to open their bags to bring out lunch.

"Nooo, I didn't carry my cocktail! It just got that special flavour that I need, what am I gonna do about that now?"

Carter screamed as he lifted a flask, more like a food flask and looked in his bag.

"Well Carter, No need to panic, On our way here, I sighted some stands, selling some food stuff and fortunately, I saw a cocktail stand."

"Really? Uhhh, but I don't think it would be as special as that, Anyways, Let's check it out!"

Carter stood, pulling Denzel and Rocco with him. The two he pulled looked reluctant.

"Naa, I would pass, you can take Rocco with you please"

"Denzel, you should know Carter by now, let's just go with him."

Rocco and Denzel stood, following Carters back as Denzel kept mumbling like a lost frog. In about five minutes, they had already gone far.

Immediately Ariel saw that they had gone out of sight, she looked up to Leia and spoke out.

"Now then, Leia as your first best friend, we have long talk."

Denzel looked back and smiled.

"I wonder how women's talk feel like, wish I could join them."

"Idiot, don't be a fool."

Rocco responded as they kept walking forwards.

"Well Denzel, didn't you think we should have asked Ted to explain what he saw that made him say that?"

"Please don't bring up that traitor."

Denzel answered him fiercely with a tone of anger sounding as he spoke.

Carter looked at them in confusion.

"That's true, where is Ted? and what is all this about a traitor?"

Denzel and Rocco was about to insult him when they remembered that he was asleep in the vehicle.

"Well, it's a long story..."

Denzel kept explaining the whole situation to Carter as they got to the cocktail stand.

"Well, Denzel with what you have said, let's ask Ted about why he said that."

"Not you too."

Denzel said looking at Carter with disgusted look as Carter explained to the man at the stand how he wanted his cocktail.

After about fifteen minutes, they turned their back to return back to were they camped. Rocco was ahead of the two who kept arguing and it wasn't long when Rocco got their destination.

"What?" Rocco spoke, shocked at what he had seen. With the two girls lying down, one on top of the other, he barfed. He moved closer to get a better look but he couldn't recognize one or the other, the two girls were drained in blood.

"Leia? Ariel?"

He said shivering.
