Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The basics

After about spending two months in the 'real' world I've come to realise many things from history to modern day culture, I've also started getting used to my new cybernetic body and virtual space. After getting used to the transitions between reality and my new digital home i have learned how to travel between them and manipulate my digital realm.

They basically made me a game character with my ultimate being able to communicate with machine, like the kid from heroes, but as most would assume I'm not great at it. Last week I was only able to control a relic of technology an iPhone 5 and even that I struggled with.

My new body may look human but inside is the panicle of technological advancements ever achieved in human history. My finger alone is worth $27.8 million.

My mind has started settling and the pain that was once there has gone but I still don't feel… real, my life is still not my life, It's the rich corporate a**holes who coded my life, my experiences and my humanity.

[what am i?]

A man or a machine, I feel like the terminator.

The Doc walked in with some books and fresh clothes, since all i've been wearing since I got here was an uncomfortable hospital gown. It was as if I was saved from a terrible curse, Although they were a pain to put on, they still were a better option than the 'wood and nails' I was wearing before. She left as soon as she placed them on a bed. After I got changed, it looked like my sense of fashion was bland but it worked.

15 minutes later the Doc walked back in checking the room for cracks and tunnels until her list was clear. She then continued to check me for damage or whatever machines are made of.

"Name?" The Doc asked in a curious tone

"Kyle. Kyle davids. Yours?" I asked nervously

"Lily pond." Thats all she said leaving a minute of awkward silence like when your left in a room with your parent's after a fight. Then she left shutting the oak door with a soft click.

It felt as if I was still human for a second only to come back to my current predicament as nothing but a piece of expensive metal just walking around in an empty room as a shell of the man I used to be before although it wasn't real it's all I had.

My life became an illusion in the blink of an eye, just like being told your life's worth only to find out it was nothing.

My world became more baron and dead than the hottest desert or loneliest ocean the moment I died and was abandoned in that wasteland that shouldn't even have exist.

What to do now was my question but how to move on was my life's story.

[What was my purpose? Why am I here still? Can I still trust humanity after all they've done? Who am I?

[What am I?]
