Shyam looked towards the man following him and said, "After the final inspection, arrange the team heads for a meeting tomorrow."
"Okay Director" Conel nodded.
While on the way towards his office, his co-workers greeted him. He returned some of their greetings along the way. However, his steps halted the moment his eyes caught the sight of Naina talking to someone familiar in friendly manner.
Suddenly a wave of unexplainable anger had risen from his heart. Conel who was silently observing his boss expression followed his focused gaze, now had a bitter feeling.
"Director Ryu" He called diverting his attention back to him.
"Inform the intern to come in my room right now" Shyam snorted.
Naina and Hardin were exchanging a few words regarding the work when Naina felt as if someone was watching her. The feeling was making her uncomfortable. She turned around again, but could not find anyone who was looking at her.
-------
Inside the office
"Good morning Director" Naina greeted the moment she walked into his office.
"Good morning" Shyam lifted his head and greeted back. A frown appeared on his face as he recalled the way this girl had interacted with Hardin. He felt more uncomfortable when her face was full of smiles and laughter.
Naina awkwardly cleared her throat when Shyam stared for too long without saying anything.
"Sir you asked to see me" She said lowering her eyes not to meet his.
"Sit on the sofa" He said curtly before he buried his head deep in the documents on his table.
Naina wanted to open her mouth to ask him why he had asked her to come, but she clamped mouth shut when she realized how immersed he was in the document on his desk.
"Uhmm.." She awkwardly turned to the sofa as she sauntered over. "Why did he call me if I am just going to sit here?" Naina asked herself in her mind as she scowled at him.
Suddenly, the phone on his table near the sofa was ringing, making Shyam stand up to approach the table.
"Director...your phone—"
"It's alright," Shyam interrupted, walking to his table in three large strides. "Sit!" He said.
"Good," Shyam commented over the phone, already fixing his tie with his free hand.
With their call already ending, Shyam turned his body to look at Naina, who was still seated on his black, leather couch.
"Miss Naina, We need to attend one appointment. Follow me". Shyam said and picked up his jacket."
"What...?" Naina abruptly sat up. "Appointment! Right now? But I can't". Naina retorted, making Shyam halt his actions of wearing his suit jacket.
"Why?" He asked, his gaze boring at her. He frowned when he saw the hesitation on her face.
"Because I had some papers that need to summarized" Naina spoke. Shyam arched a brow at her but it quickly disappeared as it came.
"You don't have to do" He told her. Before she could speak up, he continued, "More importantly you work in my office. You will prioritised to the things which I tell you to, Get it?"
"Okay!" Naina meekly nodded her head.
"Dummy...because I want you to stay by my side" Shyam said in his mind.
--------
"Why do you look so uncomfortable? It's not the first time that you ride my car". A smile was threatening in his lips as he glanced at her over his shoulders.
"What was he saying? People might took it in another way" She rolled her eyes inwardly.
Naina raised her gaze to Shyam who was just glancing at her silently. "I am not uncomfortable, Director". She pushed a superficial smile before looking outside the window, completely ignoring him. Shyam didn't miss the annoying smile in her lips, even she tried to be show polite expression as she could.
After hearing their short conversation Paul looked at the lady seated behind through the rear view mirror.
"Is something going on between them?" He chided in his mind. He was startled when his eyes met with Shyam's cold eyes via the rear view mirror. He returned his attention back to the road.
