"Mom casually start the conversation that day.... but....Mom already took the decision and I....". Her words trailed off with confusion.
Evan raised his eyebrows and did not say anything.
Pausing for a while, Jasmi said in sad voice, "Maybe Mom doesn't want me to live here anymore".
"Jasmi, It's not like that!" Patting her back, Evan tried to calm her down. Holding Jasmi's hand, Evan said, "Dad left us when we are very young but Mom always give the love without feeling the missing spot of Dad. She just want you to be in a place where you get respect and loves".
"I know!" Her lips trembled and tears began to stream down her eyes.
"Shh.. it's okay." Evan hushed her and cupped her face looking lovingly at his sister, "But Whatever decision you'll take, I'll respect it".

Naina braided her hair loosely before swiped it to the side and tied it. She studied her appearance one more time before nodded in satisfaction. Feeling her phone buzz against her skin as she fished her phone from her pocket, already seeing a text from Shyam.
"When did he get my number?" she mumbled herself.
When Naina came out, she saw Shyam waiting for her. He was wearing a dark blue jeans with white shirt. And on the outside he had a dark grey light jacket. He was wearing a glasses with black rims and his serious look just attracted a lot of people right now.
Shyam noticed how stiff Naina was standing. He didn't like that she was uncomfortable around him after she works in his company. He wanted her to talk casually to him, he didn't mind, because after all that was what had gotten his attention.
"Get in" Shyam holding his side of the door for her.
Naina flashed a small smile before she sat inside the car.
-----
It was uncannily quiet inside the car. Shyam decided to strike up a conversation.
"So we are going to Rita restaurant" Shyam asked. She was looking at the scenery outside the window and turned her head to meet his eyes.
"Yes. It's not that fancy restaurant but I hope..."
With his gaze fixed ahead, he said interrupting Naina's words "Thank you in advance for treating me lunch".
Without saying any word she looked at him for a little, before looking away as well.
In a short time they finally arrived their destination. The car slowly came to stop in front of Rita's restaurant.
Naina took the lead, She kept walking across the hall entering another room which turned out to be the kitchen.
Once they were in the kitchen, Naina called out, "Rita? Where are you?".
Rita hurried over and greeted them. "Thank you for visiting my restaurant".
Shyam pushed a smile and replied, "No, I should thank you".
Naina glanced at Shyam with confused eyes, carefully scrutinizing him. "Is he that friendly?" She couldn't help but think to herself.
-----
Shyam held the lady's gaze staring at him without blinking her eyes as if she was reading his mind.
With a soft and gentle tone, he asked, "What is it, Naina?" He cocked a brow at her.
Naina pursed her lips, then opened them, "Umm…Why did you want me to have lunch with me?"
Shyam slightly leaned forward "Because we are friends" He said, with his gaze intently fixed on her.
Naina narrowed her brows in confusion. "What do you mean?" She asked back.
Shyam paused for a while then continued, "Aren't we friends? We have dinner together before" He said with a small smile etched on his face, a smile Naina had clearly seen, and was surprisingly taken by it.
"This man always spoke oddly" Naina eyed him vividly. Her thoughts distracted when Rita arrived with their dishes. Putting them down before them, she exclaimed, "Bon appetit" and disappeared back to the kitchen.
