Rita restaurant...
"I already saw that coming!" Jasmi had an eager, excited smile on her face.
"Pfft!" Naina scoffed, twirling her fork around her pasta.
"Don't underestimate my six sense, Naina. He wouldn't casually asked you for a lunch". Jasmi gingered not minding Naina's frightening look.
"Six sense...My ass!" Naina furrowed her brows together and pointed at her face, imitating Jasmi's facial expression.
"It's not a big deal. You agreed to have lunch with him too" Jasmi replied as she took a bite of her meatball.
"It's because I have a good reason" Naina declined, shaking her head profusely at the same time. She took a sip of her water before speaking again, "First of all, I don't want to lost my job and second one, Rita wants to show appreciation for helping her family. So, I simply agreed. We are going to have lunch here in Rita's restaurant. Practically, Rita is the one who is treating the lunch".
Jasmi raised a brow and inquired in a teasing manner, "She's paying and you're eating with him".
"Whatever his intention was, I am not interested at all" Naina commented, propping a hand under her chin as she looked at Jasmi straight in the eyes.
"Whatever! Miss Naina" Jasmi pressed sarcastically with a smile plastered on her face.
With picking up her fork from her plate Naina said with superstitious smile, "Shut up and just eat your pasta, you exaggerating queen".
Rita grinning as she listened to best friends talking to each other. Rita stifled her laughter and chimed in, "Finish your food quickly! My closing time is up".

When Jasmi entered her house, she narrowed her eyes when she saw a Middle-aged man and a Middle-aged beautiful woman sitting on the couch happily talking to his Mother and Father.
Jasmi was thunderstruck when her gaze fell on the man sitting nonchalantly on the sofa. A lump instantly appeared in her throat. Her eyes were fully open and ready to pop out.
"Dear, You came! Take a seat." Her mother squealed excitedly pulling Jasmi to sit beside the man.
Jasmi with distaste face slowly sat beside him, ensuring there was a reasonable amount of space between them.
"They look very good together" Aunt Rose commented with a satisfied smile.
"They are! Vince, Feel comfortable, this is also your home too. After all you're now my Jasmi's fiancee" Her mother said, taking a quick glance at her daughter.
Jasmi almost choked at her Mother words.
"Thank you, Aunty. I will take good care of Jasmi" Vince said in a intent and firm voice, but his gaze were soft and warm, as he looked at Jasmi.
Another round of shock engulfed Jasmi as she stared at the man beside her. The warning alarm ringing in her head at the moment where too loud to be ignored.
------
Running her fingers through Jasmi's hair, Her Mother smiled and said, "Dear, You already know what kind of person Vince was. He has stable job, status and he open his feelings for you.
Placing her head on her Mother's lap, Jasmi said worriedly, "Mom! He is Evan's friend and I saw him as brother".
Her Mother looked at her seriously and said, "Okay then! I will some give time to think. Vince is a nice boy. I feel that he will keep you happy. Moreover, his family adores you" Her mother added with a assuring smile.

It was nighttime and the light in the study room was still lit. Jasmi stood before the study door hesitantly knocked the door.
Evan set aside the pen he was holding. His dark eyes looked the girl and asked, "Is something the matter?"
Jasmi mind was too preoccupied with her mother words. "Jasmi!" Evan snapped his fingers before her eyes, jolting out of her reverie.
"What's wrong?" Evan asked.
"Did you hear about my engagement?" Jasmi asked indifferently biting her lips.
Evan saw the hesitant look in her eyes. His high spirited sister suddenly showed quite expression making him understand her question clearly.
