Chapter 50 - Our Director got rejected by a girl.

As usual Naina arrived at the company ten minutes earlier. Naina took deep breaths to calm herself as she entered the company. She quickly said a little prayer in her heart not to bump into someone whom she desperately wanted to avoid.

Shyam was surprised to see Naina waiting for the elevator as soon as he stepped inside. He locked eyes with her as his legs slowly directed themselves to her direction.

Naina stood transfixed on the ground. Her heart missed a thousand beat when those familiar Hazel brown met hers. Her mind suddenly went blank as she stared at him in a daze.

Naina stepped back subconsciously when Shyam took a step towards her. "She should run right?". Naina turned around in search of an escape route. Naina's head felt blank with every step he took towards her. She wished she could just disappear. Or the earth should just open and swallow her up.

"Ryu Shyam" A coquettish voice called making Shyam stop on his track.

"Shyam" He heard that voice call him again as she hurried over to him with a smile hung on her face.

"Good morning" Daeril greeted with a sweet smile.

"Good morning...Daeril" Shyam paused and returned his gaze back to Naina, his frown deepened when he noticed she was gone.

"What's wrong?" Daeril asked, noticing the sudden change expression of Shyam.

"Nothing" Shyam pushed a gentle smile. "Are you leaving now?" Shyam asked.

"Yes, The meeting for development planning has been reschedule at 4pm" Daeril replied.

"Madam" Daeril's secretary, Patrick called. "Madam, It's the time" Patrick informed Daeril who responded with a simple nod. She turned back to Shyam and said, "I'll see you later".

As soon as Naina put her bag at her desk, Perry slid her chair to her friend's table. "Naina, You look so pale. Are you sick?"

"Huh?" Naina blinked her eyes as she was still in a daze.

"You are not feeling well?" Perry asked with concern.

"No...No..I am fine" Naina replied with a dry laugh. "This is so uncomfortable. Why this man suddenly like me?" Naina cussed loudly in her heart. She switched on the computer and try to focused on her work.

Assistant Conel made his way to the Director's office with his hand full of documents.

"Sir, The document policy reported by Hwan" Assistant Conel said as he placed the documents on his desk. Then, he took a step back and heaved a sigh. The documents were a bit heavy and he has been walking with those documents for a while.

He lazily stretched up his body and picked up one of the documents on his desk. He looked at the document again and paused for a long time.

"Is she running away from him?" This girl keeps bugging his mind, unsettling things inside of him like a stone thrown inside a still lake causing tripples.

Conel looked silently at his boss's black dark circle. Conel accidentally heard the conversation of his boss and Naina having in the balcony. Conel was thunderstruck when his boss confessed to Naina. But he was not shocked when Naina rejected him. He recalled the moment when Naina once shouted to his boss that she never met a selfish person like his boss.

"Director Ryu?"

Hearing his assistant calling out his name, Shyam snapped out of his trance and looked up. Shyam looked at the documents and tapped his fingers on his desk.

"Director is having some problems. You better not get into his nerves today" Conel warned.

"A...girl problem" Koushak muttered slowly.

"What?" Conel couldn't believe his ears right now. "Did you know something?" Conel asked looking at him.

Koushak cleared his throat and said, "Well... Somewhat".

"What do you know?" Conel asked curiously.

"Hell no" Koushak replied plainly.

"Okay.... " Conel stared at him silently like he was trying to read his thoughts. He signed defeatedly.

"Our Director got rejected by a girl" Conel blurted out.

"By our intern" Koushak said doubtfully with his brows scrunched. "Ehh.. It's obvious. I never saw our Director looking lovingly at any girl. It's all written in his face" Koushak continued in quiet voice.
