Chereads / Let Love Choose / Chapter 14 - 13

Chapter 14 - 13

Aldi and Salsha have reached the supermarket. They will be shopping for kitchen needs for the next few weeks. Such as rice, bread, milk, salt, sugar, snacks, and other necessities.

Aldi pushed the trolley while Salsha put the things they needed into it.

"See, Sal, I feel like I'm shopping with my wife." Aldi is still teasing the girl. Now, teasing Salsha and seeing the girl's blushing face is Aldi's new hobby.

"Shh, shut up."

Of course, Salsha was furious with Aldi's words, which she thought were not important. Salsha puts the rye bread in the trolley.

"That's not enough," Aldi commented when he saw Salsha put the fruit wrapped in fresh bread into the cart.

Angrily, Salsha put three more packets of white bread and glared at Aldi. "Still not enough?"

Aldi shook his head as he gritted his teeth. Salsha returned to focus on the items they wanted to buy. Salsha turned to the jam stand. Salsha put the chocolate-flavored jam into the cart.

"I like blueberry jam," Aldi commented again.

Salsha put in a blueberry jam as Aldi wanted. Since then, whatever Salsha chooses is always commented on by Aldi. Lack of this, less than until Salsha herself was embarrassed to hear it.

They switched to liquid milk. Salsha put Indomilk brand liquid milk into the cart, but Aldi took it out again.

"It's fresher than the ultra milk brand. Change."

Salsha sighed, wanting any brand of milk it seemed the same. "It's the same time. You're really complicated, really."

"Different." Aldi put five at once liquid milk brand Ultra Milk into the cart.

"You're very greedy, really."

"Inventory," replied Aldi nonchalantly. "It's better for you to slide the trolley and let me choose. You've been incompetent since earlier."

Aldi shifted Salsha roughly and switched to taking things and putting them into the trolley. Salsha growled in annoyance, really fed up with Aldi's pretentious nature.

"The trolley is heavy, how can I slide it."

"You can't do everything, what can you do?" said Aldi spicy. "You can't cook, you can't shop. You can just be a burden."

Aldi took the trolley and moved to the instant noodle stand. He included several different flavored instant noodles for their stock. They only buy light ingredients because neither Salsha nor Aldi can cook.

Salsha's heart sank at Aldi's words. What the man said was a fact, but still hearing it made Salsha hurt.

Aldi moved further away but did not find Salsha in front of him. Aldi turned back and saw Salsha still standing where he was.

"Come here, you're still dumbfounded."

Salsha sighed and approached Aldi without enthusiasm. Her mood just disappeared because of Aldi's words. The man's mouth is hotter than chili.

"What do you want to buy? I'm tired of going home," said Salsha.

"Wait, I want to buy cigarettes first."

"Are you smoking?" asked Sasha. Because during this week Salsha had never seen Aldi smoking.

"If there's a problem again," Aldi replied. Then he moved to the cigarette stand.

From afar, Salsha saw that Farel came and spoke to Aldi. She don't know what they were talking about, Salsha couldn't hear it. It was impossible to get closer, she didn't want Farel to know that he was with Aldi.

Meanwhile, Aldi was surprised to see Farel's presence here, fortunately, Salsha was not by his side. Aldi is not ready if people at their school find out about his relationship with Salsha.

"I want to talk to you," said Farel. Not only was Aldi surprised, but Farel was also the same. But he thinks this is the right time for him to talk to Aldi.

"About?" asked Aldi indifferently.

"About Bella," said Farel. "I want you to stay away from him."

Aldi smirked. Bella is her first and only friend at school. There was no way Aldi could stay away from him and what was the reason for Aldi to stay away from the girl.

"I don't want to."

"But I don't like you next to Bella." Farel looked at Aldi with a look of hostility. "As long as you're by Bella's side, she won't see me."

"I'm your biggest threat to getting Bella?" Aldi chuckled lightly. "You're a coward too."

Farel clenched his fists hearing Aldi's insulting remarks. "If you don't want to keep Bella away, it's useless. I can give you an offer."

"I'm not interested," Aldi replied nonchalantly.

"I want to challenge you to a basketball duel. Whoever loses must stay away from Bella." Farel did not listen to Aldi's words earlier. He even invited Aldi to bet. "I heard you were the basketball captain at your old school. I wanted to see how good you were at playing basketball."

"I was so scared, you even found out about me like that." Aldi chuckled mockingly. "It turns out that you are not confident in yourself, huh."

"Devil!" cursed Farel. His emotions peaked when he heard Aldi's words. "Tell me you're afraid to fight me. You don't have the guts.

Aldi smiled with satisfaction seeing Farel who seemed to have been carried away by anger. From there, Aldi can conclude that Farel is a person who is very easily carried away by emotions.

"First, I'm not at all afraid of basketball duels with you. I'm a basketball captain and have brought many trophies for my school." Aldi is proud of himself. "Secondly, I'm not your rival. So you don't have to be afraid of me snatching Bella from you. Third, Bella or any girl is not a bet. They can't be made into bets like that. Fourth, if you feel you deserve to get Bella, you fight for it he."

After saying that long sentence, Aldi looked at Farel with a mocking look and moved away from the man. Aldi was satisfied that he could bring down Farel's mentality. Farel deserves to be treated like that.

Farel clenched his fists and left from there. He didn't even buy anything. Aldi managed to drop his self-esteem.

Seeing Farel's departure, Aldi again approached Salsha, who was silent in his place.

"What did Farel say to you?" asked Sasha curiously.

"Not important." Aldi pulled the trolley that Salsha was holding. "Let's pay, then go home."

Salsha pursed her lips because Aldi didn't want to say anything, even though she wanted to know. After finishing paying, Aldi lifted the plastic containing their groceries. There are three plastics in total.

While on the way home, Salsha kept asking about what Aldi and Farel were talking about. Salsha could see that Aldi and Farel were talking seriously earlier, making Salsha's curiosity evaporate.

"What were you two talking about?"

Aldi glanced at Salsha briefly. Feeling pressured, Aldi said. "Farel invited me to a basketball duel."

"Basketball duels?" Salsha parrot. "For?"

"He said whoever loses must stay away from Bella."

Sasha was silent for a moment. Farel wants to invite Aldi to a basketball duel to get Bella. To must Bella. What's so special about that girl that can make Farel so much to win the girl's heart. Salsha wants to be Bella, fought over by men. But unfortunately, Salsha is too impossible to get that.

Seeing Salsha who was silent and her expression turning gloomy made Aldi regret saying it. This is what Aldi avoided, he didn't want Salsha to feel hurt to hear that Farel wanted to duel with him to win Bella's heart.

"So you want?" asked Salsha finally. She tried to act normal in front of Aldi.

Aldi shook his head. "No, what are you doing. It's useless."
