True to his word, Aisrin spent the first week providing food and comfort for the villagers. He reinforced their homes with earth magic, a temporary fix, but they would withstand the cold of winter. Next, he rose an earthen wall around the village, again temporary, but it would provide a simple and secure protection from enemy attacks.
He even erected a large enclosed circular building within the rivers shallows. It had self cleaning and heating spells embedded within the walls. Meant for the villagers to clean themselves. When exiting the circular building, they'd enter the connected rectangular building, where they could dry off and not freeze in the winter air.
At the edge of the village, barely in the river, Aisrin found an area with extreme under currents and set up a few stalls for the villagers to use the restroom in. Although he wished he had toilet paper, he instead had to redirect some of the current upwards. He'd have to teach the villagers to use a lever. A lever that was installed to use the redirected water to wash their asses off.
"What's that called again? A bidet?" Aisrin muttered as he finally finished his promises. It was the last day of the villagers peaceful lazy resting. In that week, the villagers went from practically dead, to lively skeletons. They had more meat on their bones, and color had long returned to their once stoney and dull eyes. Life had truly been breathed back into the villagers.
Their energy had been restored, and everywhere Aisrin walked, he was revered by the villagers. Aisrin was coldly kind to the villagers. Reassuring that he did this for their futures, but also reminding them that they would be paying him back for his generosity, and it wasn't through money that they'd pay him back with.
He showed a few villagers how to use the stalls and levers, made sure they remembered every word, and then sent them to teach others so that those could go on and teach more until every villagers knew how to use a toilet.
With that final bit finished, Aisrin felt as if he had brought this Village a leap closer into a more modern era. Still not far enough, but he had plans.
That night, Aisrin gathered the village at the pit he made. Every villager stood around him, not one dared miss out on his announcement.
"A week ago, I became your... uh... Let's go with Lord. And I made a declaration that I'd give you one week of rest and comfort. I gave you free food, free facilities and free labor. That ends today." Aisrin snapped his fingers and the pillars holding the slab above the pit lowered back into the ground. The slab covered the pit and the ground was once again even in that spot.
"But, what about food for tomorrow?" Someone called out.
"Free is never free. Everything has a price." Syphra stood next to Aisrin as a reinforcement. Aisrin nodded, that was exactly what he intended.
"Good answer. Exactly. Tomorrow, there will be posts up... actually, does anyone know how to read?" Aisrin stopped himself and asked. Our of the three hundred plus people around him, only around twenty five raised their hands.
"Right. Of course. You twenty five. Tomorrow, I want you at Rets door at first light. And I mean, first, light. If a shadow can be seen, you better be there. I will be writing notices, you will be responsible for relaying these notices verbally by the time the sun breaks the horizon and the first bird chirps. Dismissed. Get rest. Tomorrow will be a bright and early day." Aisrin finished his announcement and headed back to Rets house.
"What are you going to do? Or, what's the plan?" Syphra followed Aisrin.
"I'm going to make this Village, the Capital of my own nation." Aisrin replied.
"Hold on, what? Your own nation? We are only three hundred people. And of those three hundred, only around a hundred are men capable of well... anything! A nation like that is doomed to fail." Syphra started to debate.
"That's true. If I only planned on relying on men. I understand that Ret, Jillete and you, were only allowed to go hunting due to your being able to use Spiritual Power or whatever. But, to me, women can do as much as men if not more. I've met some extremely capable women, some more so than most men.
A nation that incorporates all the resources it has available is more likely to succeed than one that remains biased." Aisrin told Syphra logically.
"I've never seen someone as bold as you Aisrin. I doubt there are many out there who are." Syphra complimented Aisrin.
"Its how I was raised. Anyway. Your answer today, gave me an idea of what you will be in charge of. So you need to be at Rets just as early as the other twenty five. Good night." Aisrin bid Syphra farewell as they had finally reached Rets family home.
"That was quite the speech Aisrin. But, what's your plan?" Ret immediately ambushed Aisrin.
"I am not repeating myself again. You'll be the second to find out, in the morning. Goodnight." Aisrin continued passed Ret and went into the room he added on to the house for himself, and rose a stone wall to block others from disturbing him.
He then created a makeshift desk and chair using wood magic. He then created a light source using lightning and fire compressed in an air tight wind spell, encased by reinforcing spells. It was chaotic, but effective.
By using his fabrication magic, he thought up a stack of paper and a pen. With all the preparations made, he sat down and prepared to write, when a thought struck him.
"Oh my fucking damn... Hah, I could have fabricated toilet paper earlier... couldn't I have?" Aisrin sighed as he stared at the sheets of paper on the desk.
After a moment of self reflection, Aisrin set about to writing his written notices.

"Perfect. With these, the basics are covered. Tomorrow certainly will be fun. I can't wait to start training. Then I will be introducing uniforms... in the near future. Hopefully when spring comes. Then I can introduce farmers, craftsmen, tailors and fabric weavers, public services, medical personnel, and finally trade craft." Aisrin stretched. He'd been writing for a few hours, and first light was only a winks sleep away.
With nothing more to do, Aisrin dispelled his light magic and the stone wall and went to sleep.
